  • The Telegraph’s Madeline Grant reacts as new data suggests the number of civil servants earning over £100,000 a year has nearly doubled.
Research has found that more than 100,000 officials have been taken on since the year of the EU referendum with an alleged total salary bill for Whitehall now hitting £17 Billion.
Mrs Grant says: “It’s a kick in the teeth to many workers in the private sector… There’s a real problem in the civil service of accountability”.

Stopping the boats is easy, get the Navy down there get these boats on board, go back to France and offload them. There is no Human Rights law covering Invasion that in itself is against the law.

Aye, the French Navy would allow that, wouldn't they?🤣

Civil Service needs to be brought to heel....It either does what it is paid to do or those obstructing and/or not working for the good of the nation should be sacked with NO BENEFITS.

And your proof for them not doing what they are paid to do is...

@@passerby7030 Just look at a few reports from a few months back where the Home Office threatened to go on strike because whoever 'wields the big stick' didn't agree with the policy they were told to enact. Look at the slowness these useless people are processing assylum applications despite having more staff than ever before. It really is quite simple to see if you 'open your bloody eyes'.

Do what austaralia did, if they dont enter through a recognised route no immigrant will be granted the asylum or the right to stay, simple you cross on a boat your sent back to France, if France wont take them back it is a decleration of war. Fire 50% of civil servants and reduce the salary of the rest by 50%

That's not what Australia did at all. They used third nations to process the claims.
Oh and 'a declaration of war'. HAHA keep them coming brilliant stuff!🤣
