- KATE Middleton has gone from being an all-action princess to missing so many of her precious royal duties as she recovers.
The Princess of Wales, 42, would usually have donned a green outfit and joined the Irish Guards' St Patrick's Day celebrations this weekend.
But instead, she's at home resting after her planned abdominal surgery in January - and not set to return to the public eye until after Easter.
Kate has become known as the smiling, hands-on Princess who visits children's hospitals - but also joins rugby lineouts and army drills in the snow.

Given that she has had abdominal surgery and is not supposed to be lifting, pulling, twisting, turning, and stretching; being at home
and resting is what she should be doing. The Palace PR people said that she will return by "Easter"/ "Resurrection Sunday"/ "Pascha"

My goodness the clip at the beginning of Catherine talking to the children brought such a smile to my face. The kids were so attentive to her every word and totally enthralled by her.

She always strikes me as someone we know, our friend, sister, daughter. She’s just so genuinely likable.

I feel for her, I became very ill.. I had to shave my head, it was scary. You have to keep it together for your children, I wish her lots of healing and peace. Imagine being part of the royal family and becoming ill, it’s such a vulnerable time for her. Let her rest and heal, no pressure.. even if it takes over 6 months.
Your are so right mothers have to keep it together for the children which is what Catherine said she wanted to normalise what is an abnormal time in their lives. A true caring mother thinks how it will affect the children.

My feeling is that while she's recuperating from her surgery, that they're preparing her for Queen Consort. First was Queen Mary of Denmark, and now it could very well be Catherine's turn. Regardless, I'm glad she's healing and taking the well-deserved time with her family. We ❤ you Princess Catherine!!

I was watching this and one of the clips with Kate and Louie, Louie had his fingers all twisted. He would hold his hand together and twist his fingers. Watch it! And it is not phot shopped ! It’s a video with the kids in the dirt at a special function. So the finger thing is real and not a photo shop mistake. I would be so frustrated if i were Kate! Sending so much love and healing !💜
