I own some 1922 201's and '65 z's. I like the quality, both found and bought on line and on sale...The 501's are Japanese fabric and total quality. The 201's are baggy as hell but great fun with the buckleback and huge back pockets. I'm fugging 60 this year so I'll just tell ya.. They will never be the same as the old Levi's as seen in movies etc...The cotton is of a different variety and coarseness. But still fun to have.

Does anyone know what the 1890 levis are like? I really want them but I'm not sure how much they would shrink, and how the denim is.

@45guitarboy These are not regular Levis that you buy on a high street store..These are Capital E LEVIS..Original cuts from the 1930 to the 1960's..And cost a lot more then your standard Levis that are shit

I visited this shop in the winter, the guy looked at me as though I had just spat in his face! Couple of wankers really who I can see trying to look cool in Shoreditch! what"s ironic is that they could never afford full retail on any of the clothes they are selling, I will never go back, All future purchases of LVC will be made from Mr Porter.
