facts. it's like martial arts. a tall buff guy with no martial arts skills can get taken down by a smaller guy with great martial arts skills. a fat guy can definitely be more fashionable than an in shape guy.
however, a tall buff guy with great martial arts skills likely can't be taken down by a smaller guy even with tremendous skill.

Does the phrase "clothes makes the man" not ring a bell?
You can have a 10/10 body, but if you dress sloppily and have a bad posture people will still perceive you as lazy, likewise if you have a regular body but dress well and have a good posture people are more likely to appreciate you because you have self-respect. It all boils down to how you carry yourself, not how your body looks like.

  • @HMuny55
    @HMuny55 Před měsícem +32

Most of these concepts can be drawn back to mens suiting practices you can read in style books from 100+ years ago.
    - color tone matching and contrasting with trousers jackets and shirts, military uniforms
    - Outfit accentuations like pocket squares, tie bars, cufflinks, gold/pearl buttons, fabric textures and patterns
    - Sprezzatura, the art of looking natural and not too polished.
Wearing too many colors is a universal rule, similar to wearing conflicting patterns. I do like the point system though.
I also like when people understand trends but slightly customize your look to avoid looking like another NPC wearing the same thing as everyone. Thats what I do. Always have your own taste and personality in your style.
    Great video!

Good tips for certain, but I'm always vexed by this topic because unlike the aesthetics of a good physique, clothes trend more subjective (imo). Fashion trends ebb and flow wildly and it can be a real bore trying to appease society's "right way to dress". Ultimately I think there's some basics and classic looks to memorize and your video certainly helps in that regard.

Fashion in Korea is mostly simple yet well put together, what makes Koreans stand out is that they are always well groomed, hair is always on point, they are clean and then they are all contrasty, very black hair, eyes and eyebrows with fairer skin (either naturally or due to products) this, with their extremely common use of black and white creates very balanced yet sophisticated looks, they often throw an accessory like a cap.
However, outside this there isn't much, you then have the dressier ones which are, again, simple but clean, it is not all that common to find Koreans outside the norm because they are a very homogenous society where standing out from the crowd is not good. Women obviously have more choice and they add more dresses in warmer months.
Another important thing about Korean style is that they are mostly thin and their clothes either fit or are bulky, whichever style they use they balance it well, for example, a ton of young people wear bulky pants/tshirts but they add bulky/clunky showes and a cap and it looks quite nice because it is matching.
However, if you look at their progression, after age 30-35 most Koreans downgrade quite a bit, typically post marriage when they have a baby, they often wear more comfortable and dressed down like sweat pants and regular sneakers for comfort then, at around 45+ is when the golf gear comes in, specially women and then it is just a mess of colour and weirdness with the same gold hats that look ridiculous plus colorful sneakers, that is a total no fucks given but because everyone does it they don't stand out if that makes sense.
Not that many people remain elegant and many people go very casual as well if they don't have office work without putting much attention, just sticking to black and white. Outside Seoul people care less about style or have less money for that but in Seoul there is a ton of competence, specially between, say, 26-32 when they enter the work force, have more money and can buy Guccis and Louis Vuittons (which is crazy over there)

I've spent a lot of time in Korea and one thing I notice, although I had never heard the terms until this video, is that a lot of people struggle with the 꾸꾸꾸 vs 꾸안꾸. I see a lot of 꾸꾸꾸 on the streets of Seoul and since Covid a lot of 꾸안꾸 but not a lot of people that can tread the fine line between the two. Don't get me wrong, it's hard to get right and there are a lot of Koreans that look fantastic, but that effortless "je ne sais quoi" quality can be hard to find in Korea. I have to hand it to them though to have invented these concepts that help people put together looks. It really does show.

Usually CZcamsr style bloggers are pretty clueless and their 'advice' laughable but although I might have articulated the ideas here slightly differently pretty much every tip here I naturally apply to my looks everyday the only one I differ on is the black and white rule: My rule is I *never* wear anything black or white. I so often see these 2 colours really mess up a look. The only times a ever see people looking good in B &/or W is when dressing entirety in monochrome. So the golden rule really should be DON'T mix montone 'AND' colour. So if you are wearing colored items with a black coat swap that coat for a navy blue one - you will look so much better. If you are wearing a white T shirt with a coloured jacket switch the T for an off white or grey heather one - again it will bring your look together and transform it from bitty and disjointed to unified and whole.

Have a friend who's into fashion and let them use u as a blank canvas. 😅 Ngl, this is wht i did.
One day I showed up in a fit so bad, oversize and everything (cause it was my father's and I just got off from work), they decided to give me a quick crash course through the on-going trends and end up buying some new clothes after years of wearing the same old ones. Yea… I'm not from a well off background so fashion isn't in my description.

Fantastic video. The idea of black being a half-color is an interesting concept; anyone care to explain?

Great video but you got tone-in-tone (톤인톤) and tone-on-tone (톤온톤) mixed up. Tone-on-tone is similar colors in different shades and tone-in-tone is different colors with similar levels of saturation.

I was in guangzhou China , where they trade every clothing brand you can imagine. Korean brands , even the fakes were top quality and style. Nothing comes close.

This happened to my brother after moving from Canada to KR (upgraded his whole style). Meanwhile people in my city are out in crocs and pajama pants 😅

Great stuff but following these rules, just like any fashion tips, requires quite a lot of expenditure on clothing 🤣 This stuff will have me buying more than one pair of sneakers per year ! 😮

Hey, I don’t think you’ve done a video on this yet. I have been trying to find poses to do for photos. Unfortunately most poses I find online are boojie… can you make a video for posing for photos for men? Something minimalist and not over the top that looks good?

Very good video. To me, there’s no excuse to dress badly cuz you can get simple tips like these and apply them word for word to your wardrobe. You don’t need to make it hard. Obviouif your canvas aka your body is tip top then you already have that down but it doesn’t make it all. You have to dress correctly or you’ll look like a jacked hobo.
