The Badger is this kind of tank where you feel like you had a bad game, and then you check your damage and realise you did 5k.

This is *NOT* a rigged battle.
The mission he's got activated is for DAMAGE, not blocking. He not doing any damage to the other Badger so he's obviously no rigging that. And the enemy Badger isn't doing a blocking mission either because he's not even being shot at.
These two guys are definitely doing something weird, but they're not rigging.
It seems to me like the he noticed the enemy Badger wasn't hitting anything and he was like "lol, let's see how many shots he'll bounce before he gets bored 😂"

It makes you wonder if they knew each other and set it up this way. So far, my highest blocked was, believe it or not, in the Lowe. It was on Studzianki, and I managed 10,250 blocked.
They don't seem to be rigging it. The player doesn't have any blocking missions activated so he has no reason to block damage. He's also not doing damage to the other Badger so he's not trying to rig the damage mission either.
Also, the fact that he's aiming his gun in the air instead of bouncing shells on the enemy Badger proves that he's not helping the enemy Badger with a blocking mission either.
These two guys are certainly weird but, they're definitely not rigging anything.

not sure but HE ammo don't count as damage blocked ... at least on my maus it didn't show arti hits that didn't penetrate my armor
but over 7 years ago i managed to block 24k damage with maus ... and it wasn't stupid situation like this... like 7 ppl were shooting at me
And this is why the HE nerf was literally the BIGGEST BUFF TO EVERY SINGLE HEAVILY ARMORED TANK/TD IN THE GAME.
My highest dmg blocked was 15,6 k with AT 8 on Prokhorovka.
It was so ridiculous. It is also uploaded on WOTreplays if sb is interested.
It seems reasonable to assume the two badgers were working together to get the highest damage record.
I'm not sure what was going on here exactly, but to be fair, in my beginner days I used to firmly believe that when a round fails to penetrate, it still weakens the armor at the point of impact... so I thought maybe if I shoot at the same place enough, the round will eventually penetrate 😅 which it sometime did, but only through RNG, as I found out a bit later.

i think it can happen when 2 or more players hit a tank in the same place and at the same time and then it is enough that only one of them has the necessary penetration for damage and both hits will actually count (even if the other had not penetrated the same way). 🤔 or maybe this is a bug, because 70 times in 23k battles I think it happened to me along the game from 2013 till 2019
You think that's a possible mechanic in a game where 83kg shell traveling at 800m/s with 28kg's of explosive hitting an ebr wheel deals 0 damage?

You don't need HE or Arty, you need weakspots. If tanks had genuine weakspots then this would never happen. HE and arty is just broken things trying to balance something else that is broken, just breaking the game more. Hull down tanks need genuine weakspots, you can still have strong hull down tanks with weakspots, the Renegade is a good example, the new Arnie tank, the Chieftain Proto, decent size weakspots that means the user can't just sit still and bounce over and over.

When ever I take my badger out for a spin I usually find myself blocking 0 damage... The lower plate works extremely well as a shell magnet. :(
Enemy Badger : By shooting again and again, I might end up penetrating a shot. So the more I bounce, the more I have a chance to pen !

oh geez its been a long time since then, gold spam wasn't NEARLY as bad as it is now. I was in my Super Conq. just vibing, keeping the enemy distracted by my sidescraping. I ended up blocking 7000 dmg, give or take

Try the badgers in Canada, I've literally hit them on the road with my truck at 110 km and they just walk off like a truck didn't run him over and piss him off lol 😆

I did that mission with the Obj 263, hide the lower plate and they bounce like crazy.

I imagine the crew inside the Badger are just enjoying their pudding and tea while they bounce all of those rounds.

This is how I completed HT 15 missions. End of match, 2 heavies left, just trading blocked shots. Team mates screaming at me to win...right.
At one point, I think I blocked 7K in an Objekt 704 - of all machines. I say "I think" because, looking back at it, it seems so ridiculous I'm now doubting it ever happened.
I've blocked 17k in a maus about 5 maybe 6 months ago. I was shocked lol.

Is there a way to check your highest dmg blocked? I don't think there is. But I think it was definitely the Maus for me, with some 10k.

i had a game yesterday with 10.7k damage blocked in the is7, i needed to complete the 6000k missions combined damaged block. It's on wot replay but looks very much like the badger game expect i took 27 incoming shells from 8 different tanks.

i had a really fun high damage-blocked match a couple months ago in an IS-6 (7800+) in tier 8 match. most of my team sat back (no surprise in WoT) so i was up front on my own. at one point, i had 5 tier7 heavies and one tier 8 medium shooting at me while i was side-scraping (shells were bouncing off me so fast, it kind of reminded me of listening to popcorn popping LOL) - i killed all but one of them (a destroyer that was supporting me finished off the medium when he tried to flank me) ! it was hilarious fun. i'm constantly surprised at how so many players in the game do not (even at tier8 and higher) have any idea about what can (and can't) be penned in different situations.
You're lucky. I can't find enemies like that for those campaign missions that require blocking. Most just stop shooting or get bored and relocate. And baiting doesn't always work in your favour.
@@hansg9832 - that was an unusual game. however, when i'm driving tanks i know can take the punishment, it's pretty normal to get 2000- 3500 block. i just got 3500 in my tier10 object277 an hour a go. and that tank isn't known for it's great armor; but get the right postion and you can make most decent armor work. my experience is : if several of their tanks can't pen you, it pisses them off something awful and they KEEP firing! LOL. that's what happened with that match in my 277. do you know how to sidescrape? it's not great for some tanks (like the defender); but, it works well for a lot of tanks. or use gun depression - very effective for tanks with great turret armor.
@@beavis4play yeah, I can get those numbers, too. I'm just having trouble with those blocking campaign missions. Blocking 2x and 3x your own HP is hard.
I just wish WG would limit those missions to your own skill and not dependent on your enemies. It's basically luck.
@@hansg9832 - i couldn't agree more - it's the same with spotting damage - you can go out there and light up enemy tanks all match - but if your team sucks - good luck on getting spot-assist damage.

my record blocked is just over 27k with the t29 in a t6-t8 game, but so far back that even friendly damage was still a thing back then. i had about 10 enemies shooting at my turret... i think it was the same game i got my secomd mark on the tank.
but that has not been possible with the last few metas in the game and all the extra credits and gold ammo
my recent kind ofrecord was about 12.1k in the 705a, until of course a jpz with heat came around a corner...

My highest blocked was 7k in the kv-3 lol, but not playing wot but wotb instead, back when armor was actually a thing and gold rounds were actual gold rounds which u couldn't buy with credits lol (2018 i believe) i nearly ran out of ammo that match and even got 7 kills, a shame i wasn't able to keep the replay, it was truly godly

I can do every missions in the game apart blocking missions, it's pretty impossible to do them in a normal game against decent enemies. I've skipped one of them for the T-55, I can't do one for the Chimera and same for the 260. It was possible to do in 2014 (even if it can after I know) but it's now too hard to do in the "golden" era of WoT
