Dude thank you! We had our 17 navigator in the shop 3 times for days and days each time because after it rained outside the middle row vents would pour water out on the kids as soon as you backed out of the driveway. YOU ARE THE MAN

I have a 2017. EL Platinum 4x4 @ 120,000 miles. I had this exact same problem. I watched the video and did exactly the same thing PLUS I did put a little dab of RTv Automotive silicone sealer into each hole - before re-screwing in the screws covered with Teflon tape. Aas the screw tighten down all the way Just a tiny bit of silicone Came up around the top.... Just enough to prove the whole was completely sealed... I have had no leaks since this video is correct thank you for posting it

I actually removed my roof rack all together about a year ago. I also used teflon tape on the mounting hardware. In addition to the tape I cut some rubber out of a thick rubber mat I had laying around. Made each piece round like a washer. Then drilled a hole in the center. Could’ve bought rubber plumbing washers, but felt they would’ve been too then. Mine are pretty thick. Worked out pretty nice. Good video.

Great video, I will shortly be following your advise to fix my leaks, It is Seattle and raining hard now. Keep it up. Today I removed all 12 bolts and found 4 of them were leaking, but no more. Thanks for the video.

Mine leaks up towards the windshield. Leaks are right at the hand rail. Have believed it was windshield...then weather stripping (from another video) and I think you've solved it for me. I don't think it's exactly where yours was leaking, but it makes sense that it is the rack, just up front.

Thank you very helpful, have same vehicle. I thought it was coming from the sunroof

You're welcome! It could be coming from your sunroof drain hoses, so I'd check that also.

I have a 03 with the same problem. I thought it was the front windshield. After sealing it, it was still leaking. I never thought about the rack.

Excellent video. The problem I'm having is exactly what you described. I'm definitely going to do this fix
I assumed it was my rear sunroof drains, so I've been tearing up my vehicle trying to find them ... SOOO, if anyone out there knows how to clear the rear sunroof drains, I'd be curious. Especially for these model Expeditions/Navigators. The front drain inlets are easy to find and clean. And best I can tell the front drains exit somewhere in the rocker panel by the front wheel wells (BTW: not a good design, Ford! just asking for rust!), but I can't get to where I can see the actual hose. So I assume the rear drains exit by the front of the rear wheel wells, probably equally obscured in the rocker.
My thinking is if I can find the exit, I can shove weed-trimmer wire and/or compressed air up to ensure the rear drains are clear ... if they actually exist ... which they should, because when I park on a hill like the car in this video, any water entering the sunroof tray won't go to the front!
Seriously, such a bad design. Something so simple could end up causing lots of damage. For now I just park facing downhill.
    Thanks again for the video!
(update) just found a thread that comes really close to addressing my issue/concern above: www.f150forum.com/f118/10-minute-sunroof-leak-fix-409873/index3/
