Wat is Wastage??? After making a design in gold the waste gold is calculated as wastage. If they are putting wastage the shopkeeper has to return the gold to the consumer but owner is not returning and they are getting the amount also. Anyways they will use the waste gold for some other purpose. Then y we need pay for the waste gold. Using those waste gold they will make other jewel. There should be some action on this issue.
For coins no wastage...but they charge 3-8% as die charges+ gst. Fist of all why the making charge is linked to gold rate? Is it not fixed at the time of making the ornament?

Due to modern machine technology it is easy to make any ornament, then how can making charge be 1000 RS per gram.

I bought a jewellery in well known jewellery shop (it was there for many years and in many states in india) it is 916, Kdm all are there.
After some years I went to another jewellery an we planned to exchange that old one (this also a well known jewellery shop) now these people told that is not good quality. It is marked 916, Kdm etc..
Then how do we know which is the good one.
Also is there any way we find as you said copper metal inside bangle etc..
