This is a great album and so underrated. She had the style going on and the production was great. Full of great songs. THis song was incredible. Still a favorite of mine.

I am going to assume that Dave was so overwhelmed with the ravishing display of beauty mere inches from him that he could not manage to come up with a single interesting, sincere, non-patronizing question. He certainly deserved a kick in the pants for gushing over how great the song is and what a massive hit it's sure to be, only to end his praise by unironically asking, "What's it called?" even though she sings the title no fewer than ten times. Perhaps those struggles are portrayed in beauty of her music. Living in Australia and esp Ballarat we are close to the amazing story of Jockey Michelle Payne highlighted. Michelle last Tuesday became first female jockey to win The Melbourne Cup !

This was one of the last new albums I liked from any artist before I started to look back to the 60s 70s and 80s for good music because very little came out that I liked after this album.
Odd for an American artist she had just six US top 40 hits compared to nineteen top forty hits in the UK, this being one of the Brit hits that didn't chart Stateside.
I appreciate the fact that she dresses conservatively and yet is very beautiful. She's dresses more conservatively than some Christian women singers I've seen over the years.
Don't read her memoirs if you don't want your assumptions shattered. Good girl on the outside, hedonist in private. Pretty girl privilege at its finest.
