300-400gr. cubed beef
1 big onion
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp tomato paste

I want to note a couple of things that I forgot to mention in the video:

- These are white kidney beans but we have other types too. In Turkish, we call them "horoz fasulye", "Dermason", "Şeker Fasulye"

I have so much respect for people that can not only teach the rest of us how to make amazing food but also do it in a language that is not their native language. At some point in my life I need to learn a second language! Thank you so much for the video!
This is such a sweet comment and you are absolutely right
Thank you for your easy to follow recipes I'm from England but now live in Turkey my Turkish neighbours are so impressed when I share food with them they can't believe an Englishman can cook Turkish food so nice .. maybe I will let them into the secret but not yet😄
Anthony Soper hi Anthony, Sorry I didn’t see your lovely comment earlier. Happy to hear that . Have you give your secret yet?
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How did you move their is it easy to live their or it’s not complicated or do you have a business their ?
Hi which city that you live in turkey?
My husband is Turkish and sadly his mother passed away before we got married so I never got to learn from her. Your videos are extremely helpful and the recipes are wonderful. Thank you

Turkish Food Recipes delicious and let me tell you I’m planning my trip to Istanbul next year I’m very exited ☺️ I have a question about the recipe, can I add the beans water to the mix?
Salam Alikum. I really like your channel. Can you please show us how to make our own rosted red pepper paste and chilly paste?
Abla I love your recipes
Turkish Food Recipes same in Romania one of the most cooked and loved, yummm is so good with winter pickles or sourkraut
@@susiicardona3434 you shouldnt, because when you boil the beans first time they release the foamy part which causes bitterness and discomfort if eaten
I am from Iraq and we make the same dish except I add chopped garlic, little red pepper and couple tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemons. Yum! My kids love this dish!!!
Nice! Non-Turkish viewers , you must use the word "Kuru Fasulye" when ordering this in a Turkish restaurant. Kuru Fasulye is the Prime Minister of the giant world of Turkish dishes! Undisputedly, one of the most cooked dish in Turkey. For both rich and poor. I love it! (red pepper paste is optional, not a must)
Thank you so much i was about to ask the sister about it 👍
Albanians have the same dish! I have to try it with red pepper paste, which is a great idea! I usually add red pepper flakes to add that delicious spice to the dish! 😊😎
Türk 201 that’s great
Just made this with garbanzo and beef. Excellent ! Thank you from Ohio 🇺🇸
In Lebanese cuisine we have this too! It’s also called “fasulya” or “fasuliyye”! Almost exactly same recipe too! One difference is that we add garlic and coriander, fried in butter. We also put meat in it, but very little because the beans are very filling.
That's nice to know with the same name and recipe 🌿 thank you 🙋🏻♀️
Fasole in Romania,haha
Same here in egypt :)
Same in kurdistan, haha
The same dish is called fasolada in Greece.
I cooked without pressure cooker. Without soaking beans. I baked in water for 2 hours. You can use canned beans too for sure as long as your chicken is precooked. After browning tomato paste and onion, i added a little minced garlic, 2 diced Roma tomatoes, generous salt, little cumin, cayenne powder, half lemon juice...Add the beans, partially cooked if raw. then some fried potatoes and corn, water, then 2 chicken thigh/wing, cook on low until done. At the end Add some soft cheese. I grew up in konya, and armenia too, and yes I get fancy with stuff at times;)
Hi dear, sound like an interesting yummy version! Thanks for sharing
Katta rahmat Oyshanur, umriz uzoq bo'lsin
We cook both beans....in pakistan .but we cook red kidney beans at its own which is a favourite dish in pakistan especially Northern pakistan.i like white beans with meat per your stlye though....much love and respect for Turkey.
Hi we call red bean lobia in Pakistan what does these with beans r called ? Because it seems different from White lobia we hv
@@amrafaisal4840 ..its sufaid lobia.we grow it in our northern areas and cook with meat the way she is cooking....we add fresh tomatoes not paste.do you know turkmen who travelled to afghanistan and later to north of pakistan are not gone anywhere....we are their descendants and we still have many common foods.
Thank you for the delicious recipes. My Turkish husband is so happy I found you and can cook more and more Turkish foods.
I love this dish. First had it in Ankara when I visited with my parents. This with Turkish pilaf is delicious. Thanks for the recipe
My mother now watches your channel and she requested I try to make this recipe next!! 💗 from Missouri!
That is lovely ❤️ say hi to her from me ☺️🙋🏻♀️
you from. Missouri I'm from Kansas city
Looks delicious and it's very similar to a Palestinian dish I learned to make in Jordan. We ate it with white rice or pilaf and tomato-cucumber salad. Often, after a few chickens were butchered for a big meal for guests, the cook would save the chicken backs and wings and make a second, cheaper meal with white beans and tomato sauce the following day. I made the Palestinian version for my American father with chicken backs and he loved it. I've also made it with beef. It's a very good way to stretch a meat dish with a bean protein. Thank for the recipe, Alsenyur.
I'm Palestinian I'm happy to read your comment .. Pon Apetit 😘
This sounds so tasty! My mother-in-law used to make something kind of similar. She used ham instead of beef, with no tomato and basic spices like salt, pepper, and garlic. Other versions of the stew she made DO use tomatoes. I'm definitely going to make this stew when it gets colder!
i love dishes like this that are economical, delicious, and healthful. I will definitely make this. Thank you for this recipe and for your good instructions.
I LOVEEEEE THIS DISHHHHH with rice!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕 sooooooooooooooooo delicious.
Thank you so much for posting your videos.
I work at a group home and every month we pick a country to learn about culture, history and food. This month was turkey, I chose this bean soup and flatbread recipes.
Bean soup was delicious and the bread was good even though I didn't get bubbles or split open. For dessert I bought a Turkish snack box.
I just wanted to let you know everyone loved the bean soup and they all requested to be added to the menu.
Thank you for taking the time to make such easy to follow recipes.
Many MANY thanks for posting and sharing this! I've never had Turkish food before and am looking forward to trying this. I love beans and your recipe looks really delicious!!

This dish is probably the undisputed president of the Turkish kitchen. Likes you said, cheap, delicous and easy to cook.
+ full of protein

I"m very happy I found your video! I love this dish!
Thank you ! Love all your videos .. so easy to follow 🙂
Another delicious recipe! Just tried it today. So good! Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you so much for this recipe. It looks perfect for the colder winter weather coming up. I appreciate your sharing your tips and techniques. My kitchen is tiny, so I do not own a pressure cooker, but I make beans pretty often and am used to the time it takes to cook them. Definitely I’ll be making this over the weekend.
I can't get enough of Turkish fasuli! It's so similar to the dish we have in Iraq, but the beans they use are different. It's just wonderful! Thank you ❤️
My pleasure 😊 how are the beans like? Round?
I’m Albanian and my mom makes the same dish! Fantastic! 🇦🇱🇺🇸❤️🇹🇷
Herbs are different and spices the ingredients too
Albanian version is nowhere the same lol yours looks like baby food way too mushy and you do not use pepper and tomato paste you thicken it up with flour which is why it’s so mushy. Turkish version is appetizing.
@@highfive7815 your butthurt watch the video and enjoy🤫🤫🤫
Thank you. Looking forward to making this !
basically, we add to this recipe a small dice of carrots and cellary with some cumin powder plus about 200 gr of pre-cooked sliced beef tendon. Also can substitute fresh peeled tomato for the tomato paste. our background is Turkish Jews that settled in Canada three generations ago. Great winter heart warmer.
Oooh, this looks super delicious and not too complicated or work intense. I thinks I may try making this sometime soon! Thank you for this recipe, Aysenur! :)

Fantastic recipe! Thank you for sharing!
Here in the US, the green pickles are called Kirby Pickles. My friends are Turkish from Istambul, and they taught me a white bean dish that is meatless and served cold as an appetizer. They say that anything made with olive oil only is served cold, butter or butter and olive oil serve it hot
Dear Aysenur,
Another lovely turkish recipe, thank you! I will be relocating to Turkey within the next couple years, and will be purchasing all my kitchen supplies there, as I will not be shipping mine. While watching your videos, I have been trying to inventory what you use to prepare and cook these wondering meals. If you haven't already, I hope one day you might create a list of your kitchen supplies and the main spices you use. Of course there no rush, but once I relocate, I want to immerse myself into the culture, and attempt to cook at least some of these dishes. Teşekkür ederim.
Looks great, easy and simple recipe. Thanks for sharing.
That looks so cozy for fall/winter😃
İndee
Thank you for doing this. My husband will be very pleased when I cook him this dish. He is always asking me to do it but I was unable to find an English speaking chef to demonstrate the ingredients.
Happy to hear that. You welcome 🙂

Wow. Thank you so much. I can't wait to cook this for dinner tomorrow
Thank u so much for recipe video I will make it tomorrow😊
Ellinize saglik! Thank you for this recipe. In my family we have Italian heritage. We make something similar but with no meat, plus a kind of pasta (ditalini). But I like kuru fasulye too!
Awesome recipe and video thank you for the tips - I am a big fan of soups and flavorful dishes - so enjoy your channel. 😊
So yummy. Squeezed a bit of lemon juice at the end of the cooking process to the sauce and it was heavenly. And I used Thai red curry paste instead of pepper paste and it was delicious.
Loved this video♥️
I love your kitchen and it’s very very clean it’s Turkish people their homes and are very clean you can’t go inside their house with your shoes no way
If it's a Turkish soup, you know its going to be tasty. I love Turkish soups. I was in Istanbul on Christmas 2016, and the soups with bread were so delicious.
This is not soup. This is a main dish.
@@livyloca5596 We call it bean soup

I love your channel. You make such delicious looking food. Your demonstrations make me feel confidant that I could easily make these Turkish foods. Mostly I try to eat whole food, plant based; no meats, dairy, etc. But I make exceptions; just not too often. I enjoy eating all kinds of foods, and I know I will try to make some of your recipes.
Love all of your recipes 👍👍👍
In my part of the world, winter is coming. And winter is long and hard. This sounds like a good thing to try this time of year. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I tasted this at Fidan today.. it was incredible! I want to make it with this method!
I love this dish. I have never made it with meat; I normally make a vegetarian version. The recipe book I have says to include celery and carrots with the onions, which I assume is an Italian influence.
I know it's not the usual practice, but I love eating this with pide and yoghurt, rather than rice...mainly as an excuse to make pide!
everyone likes eating it with pide but yoghurt isn't that common
In the Middle East it's traditionally made with meat, but many people eat it vegetarian style like you, including my household.
I will try it today, thank you
It looks so good
Love your recipes n love turkey n turkish people❤
My husband's favorite dish!!! Thanks about the tips concerning the "gas" factor solving my problem...☺🍽🌹🌺🌻😷
☺️🙋🏻♀️🌿
The stew looks amazing!
One of my favorites! Thank you!! Xoxo
In morocco where i am originally from we eat white beans almost similar like this dish, only thing I ADD Some cleaned roasted peppers on top when I serve it and we eat it with bread. I am Married to a turkish man and we have a house in antalya where we go every year, in antalya they have a white bean side dish and it is called piyaz and it is white beans in a tahini dressing with Some additional vegetables and egg and fresh greens, I love it.
Hi dear, that is interesting rosted peppers are delicious everywhere 👍 yes piyaz is also a good dish with beans. İ should share it too Hopefully
It seem so delicious Ma Shaa Allah and I think I've seen it in Turkish dramas, Miss Ayeshanur you've become a kind of a bridge for people like us who are far away from your country
I am glad to hear that thank you
I like the pressure cooker trick. Looks really good.

Hi!!! It is a common dish in Romania. We usually make it without meat or with smocked meat and add bayleaf, parsley and dill. Most of our dishes came from you!!!! We changed them a little but not too much!!
🤗😘🤗
Hi dear, thats interesting. I would love to try your version too. Specially bay leaves. We use it in rice pilav recipes, gives delicious aroma.
well we were from the same empire :D so it is not just our food
I haven’t tasted beans with meat before, I usually eat this without it, I d like to try it, looks nice :) thanks
