These look so good! When using the rubber band method, how long could it last? I want to try it but I’m scared it’s going to start to slip or something after a week. Have clients had any issues feeling like it could slip out?

Im niy sure how to show the but it's okay 4 the 1st time I think but my 3dges wont stay in the band. Ima redo n just do it tighter with edge control. I used tht braid gel. 😭

@Kennedi Arocho you got this girl don’t be nervous... Ghana Spring hair is beautiful I think that hair would be perfect for the passion twist not to sure about for butterfly locs but it might give it a much more kinky look which is always a cuter look

@aj love no my client didn’t say it was too tight doing rubberband method but I did have one client doing rubberband method with softs that said it was too tight but she was also tender headed everyone else I did rubberband method on I didn’t receive any complaints

So how did this last with the rubber bands what if the Reuben band pop will the whole loc slip out ?
@BougieeBri firstly thanks for watching rubberband method Is a great Quick method… haven’t had anyone with popped rubber bands as of yet which is rare , but I believe that the loc won’t slide off due to the fact of how I wrap it tight at the top about 2 to 3 times it would cause the longer you have the due the more the hair intwine with itself if I spelled that right lol… actually you just have me an idea uma do a vid on that on my mannequin , I have like 3 locs im her hair already Uma clip the rubber bands out and see if that loc slides off cause I’m sure other people would like to know the same thing
@BougieeBri besides the rubber bands popping the hair style it’s self last especially if your good with maintaining your hair as far as tying it down and stuff your good to go
How do you remove butterfly locs with the rubber band method?
Hey love sorry for the late response you will remove them the same way as you would with the regulars just with much more care cause you wouldn’t want to rip off your hair. You can unravel the hair , you can gently pull down the loc as your loose hair begins to reveal at the top you can pull you braid out of the loc clip the loc hair off and detach the rubberband
So once you get down to the end of the hair you don’t have to seal it with any type of gel? It will hold in place at the end??
@Karringtyn you don’t have to deal it with anything I would recommend the same wrapping metho you going down , take the extra hair right back up the loc as I did in the vid and come back down until the hair is gone and if you like , roll the locs between the palms of your hands but either way it stays , now if you want use something that’s cool to some people use the little bottle of nail glue which is nothing wrong if you use a small amount and wrap the hair it won’t show white in your hair if you want to use that to for sure to secure the loc

@Tomika Sorry for the late response if I hadn’t responded Like 5 1/2 to 6 it all depends on how long or short the customer want the style

how much curls do you use for one loc?

as in , do you rap with 2 pieces to start with or one
@@britanniablair1723 so I use a strand and a half of another to start off , if they want it slimmer I use one if they want it thicker I would use to whole and if it’s not thick to they’re liking you can go over it again with 1 strand
What type of hair did you use?
Hello @Audrey how are you ? The hair I like to use is Freetress water wave 22” but they was completely out and I used LuLu Tress water wave 18 or 22” don’t remember but it was one of the inches but if you can find free tress water wave that’ll be better

@cevon McMullen thanks for watching , but I used about 6 packs normally would advise to get 7 just in case
How did you secure the ends?
Based off the hair type it’s not to really do you can use mail glue like everyone else in which I don’t do that I just put the loc in the palm of my eyes and rub them both together and it locs in
