You’ve built an excellent herd of cattle. I like those “wild” Charolais cross v cows. Soon as ours hear a tractor or side by side they come waddling straight to the lot.
Healthy looking crop of cows that you have raised thru the summer Amanda! Who listens to you better, the cows, the children, or the Nick? lol Sounds like your grass has dried to a crunchy texture. Hadnt heard Nick mention that so much as he was putting up the hay. The sky seems full of smoke up your way... still getting that down these parts from time to time too. Your youngsters are growing fast. Who cooks up the pork belly when it is cured? Nice crispy pork belly sounds like a fine winter's treat. Looking forward to your next update Amanda! Try and keep Nick on the straight and narrow. -Bob...
I had a Charlotie..(probably spelled wrong) cross with brown swiss....spelled right....in my milking hered!! She was a good mother...and a good milker....
Good idea breeding the speckled to charolais. Can't see any reason why the hype over them except to have something different. As long as you have good red, black or tan calves, no matter what cross you use, you wont go wrong. Cute project for the kids with the pigs. You should do alright at simm sational, pair of good heifers. Doing a good job with your cowherd👍👍
All the cattle are looking good Amanda. Thanks for the tour.
Your cows are some of the calmest I have ever seen, you do such a fantastic job with them
Good looking cattle

Nice looking cattle. Which one of those other critters is Justin? 😅
Good looking herd. Do you sell your steers at 600 lb or finish them yourself?
Sell them
Robert Pickton also started with 4 pigs from what I heard lol
Don't tempt me lol
At least the cows and pigs help cut back on fertilizer costs.
Will the pigs get ground grain cleanings?
They do
