- New Delhi, Apr 15 (ANI): Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, attended wedding reception of 2015 civil services examination topper Tina Dabi and second topper Athar Aamir-ul-Shafi Khan in New Delhi. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present at the ceremony to give his best wishes to the couple.

So many big politicians attended the wedding of 2013 topper rank 3 rachit raj sir but sadly that time IAS officers didn't get that much attention by media.
Bcoz he wasn't from a spl community
Simple straight forward truth - she was not economically weak, Although she belonged to SC caste but it is doubtful that after 2 generations of wealth and power, she had to face any discrimination
, she was taught in one of the best schools and colleges of India. And she was out from the prelim itself if she hadn’t used her quota. I see many people here are saying that she topped in mains, yes that’s true, becoming no 1 takes both hard work and luck, and no body can deny that she has talent, But the real fight in prelims exam is in 10 marks below and above general cutoff. That year it was 107.3 marks... anybody with this talent and quota would simply skip prelim prep or minimise it because you can clear prelims easily with quota benefits if you have seriously prepared for mains. No need to prepare specifically for prelims where 99% of candidates are sorted out. So yes she is talented but she used system to her ends. It was practical but wasn’t ethical to use her quota. Her husband on the other hand qualified through and through. He is a praise worthy man.

And these are the politician who don't have any time to visit a man who martyred fighting with militants, one of my friend captain satyajeet singh recently martyred in a explosion, he was on duty ,he was in arty unit, None of these politicians even asked about him, no media covered him .The matter isn't that what kind of marriage it is, matter is that we have a nation which biased, who are these ias officers? Most of them are corrupt, it takes a lot of effort to be an officer in the armed armed Forces, i don't know when these mentally sick people will come out of this zone ki "saahab ias topper ki shadi " ,leave it yar, let them be happy in their life, cover those real officers who are fighting for you day and day out. One more word for these people who're still interested and wasting their time in the discussion of this wedding "IDITOS ".
And why the newspaper the media don't take the interviews of those who Top cds and nda exam, why don't you cover their marriages.

Good to see them together - no limitations of caste or religion, their families are progressive aswell.
Never thought Tina was at fault w.r.t legally applying for reservation that govt. provides, the fault is of govt and its policy, not of the candidate. This is one of the several classic cases where govt should have the guts to re-think its illogical caste based reservation to only economic based reservations - If total household income is less than 2-3lakh per year, then make them eligible for reservation irrespective of what caste/region/religion/race/color/lingua/etc. they belong to. For once, give reservation to poor - who need it the most and get over this vote bank politics!
