I don’t even know how I came up with these titles and ideas for songs, but my mom never cleaned my room.
But, a funny thing about my life as a teenager. My room then was also the pantry when I was a kid. So my mom would always come in and grab some food items off the shelf in my room. The food shelf was right next to the door, so maybe she did clean my room at some point because of that reason. But I don’t remember her actually cleaning my room. I think it was just a funny idea, and I always go with the funny idea when it comes to songwriting.
This reads like an excerpt from my diary, and I’m sure many of you listeners could and maybe still can relate!

This track sneakily has so many trademark MxPx musical elements, and they’re blended so well. It makes for a perfect juxtaposition of their melancholy-introspective sound and their machine-gun rhythmic, catchy pop punk sound. You guys could’ve made it pretty straightforward power chords over a double time beat, but all the subtle changes throughout the song make it really dynamic.
That is all to say, you guys rock!

1. This song was written when they were in highschool still. Or just out of highschool.
2. Mike's mom works for the band. She is responsible for the merch arsenal. She ships out the stuff that people order from the store. So yes, she cleans the merch arsenal lol.
