E66 Avoiding Creator Burnout, PTZ Joystick Control

Happy 2024!
It’s good to be back in the chair for another year.
Is it just me, or have you noticed a number of big CZcamsrs (Tom Scott, MatPat, Caleb Pike) starting the year off by quitting? It’s an interesting trend to follow as social media matures and creators look for sustainable activity.
2023 was a big year for me welcoming our first child. I’m also coming towards the end of six months of (mostly) full-time care for her, so I’ve taken a lot of lessons in sustainable output. It’s reduced the amount of content I’d like to create here, but has created balance in other family life areas.
Also on today’s livestream, I’ve been looking for a PTZ controller in the ~$500 range, mainly to see if the joystick is a necessary addition to my setup. Today we’ll take a look at the AV Matrix PKC3000 PTZ control panel connected to my Canon CR N300 cameras.
