My neighbor across the street who is a bit older and didn't know who he was actually hung out with Zach at her house (she' always letting random people in off the street, which is hilarious) unknowing he was famous. He was supposedly there like 3 hours and then eventually asked her where a good place to go get a drink would be. She recommended one down the street, and as he's walking away what was her niece or daughter or something I forget was like "Do you even know who he is??" and she said "no, who?" and when she found out he was someone famous she actually calls him back. "Zach! Just a minute, come back" and so he does. She then proceeds to ask him "Are you someone famous?" And his reply according to her is "Well, I thought I was." She tells this story all the time now lol
Lol, it was probably nice for him to just hang out with a genuinely nice person like we normal people get to do.

To add more context to the story, this was in the French Quarter and he and Will Ferrell were filming "The Campaign" (I think that's the name of the movie, about two comically dumb people running against each other in some political race) and because shooting was done in New Orleans, they'd frequently spend a lot of their downtime in the Quarter. My neighbor when she's in town basically leaves the door unlocked for friends mainly to come and go as they please, but yeah sometimes the door is just plain open and it was on one of those nights that Zach showed up. He was just walking down the street and popped in to see what was going on. She treated him like a normal person and he probably did appreciate that. That's one of the better things about New Orleans in general, stars come and go all the time but we always treat them like normal people.
Countless celebrities have lived here, and many still do. John Goodman, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had a house here. I heard Jay-Z and Beyonce were trying to get a house I don't know if they ever did or not. The list goes on and on.

It is absolutely amazing for the level of comedy that is displayed to be of such utter high level, in the family of Python, SCTV, classic Nat'l Lampoon, etc., thank God for the likes of Ferrell and his posse. They are keeping the Kaufman-esque part of comedy alive. So what is amazing is how many stupid people found their way here only to waste their time criticizing something they do not even understand. It is really the best possible reaction and event that could happen for comedy like this. It's an even bigger accomplishment if you don't make a person laugh to have them walk away disgruntled or scratching their heads or even better, utterly offended. So, point Ferrell, Common Man a big fat, farting zero. (Backs away from the mob of idiots, throwing holy water and screaming "The power of Christ compels you!".)
