    I have a 2017 Outback 2.5i. Absolutely love it! Only complaint is lag in acceleration (not for racing, I mean merging and safety). I purchased a product called "Pedal Commander" which eliminated this throttle lag.

    be good if it had longer service intervals and a 2L direct injected turbo engine

    yeah, I'm gonna get one as well. Going for the 3.6 - tried all 3 engine types and couldn't live with the other two. Cost of service and fuel is going to hurt but...

    Buyer should be aware of the Subaru 2.5 liters gasoline boxer engine inherent high oil consumption (required oil top up between oil change) and past head gasket failure problem before buying one. Go on to the internet and do a search and you will find lots of information relates to theses problems. I

      This is an FA25. Not an EJ25. Two completely different motors.

      That was earlier models.. no issues with 2018 reported so far..
