Imagine a map where the Background NPCs, the Zeta Players, and Lambda Players are interacting with each other.
I've tried that but the Zeta's and the lambda hate each other tho

@@OperatorMax1993 for some reason the lambda players are extremely violent even when they respawn, and its really annoying when i try spectating other lambda's only for this one guy to constantly kill them.

@@OperatorMax1993 oddly enough unlike zeta players, lambda players dont change personality when they respawn. So that means if a lambda has a violent personality it will terrorize the server until it is either banned or deleted by the player.
From my own experience, if a Lambda initiates a conversation with a player, they only respond to chat messages, and voice activity is ignored.
@iamfatherless You don't as far as I'm aware. From my experience, it's random. I believe the default conversation lines are a bunch of random noises that aren't voices, so if you hear that from a lambda that's stopped and looking at you, it's probably trying to converse.
I remember one calling me a furfag and I immediately nuked him. Wheeze

the sudden surge in player bot mods have really intrigued me and I am all here for it

@@HackRazor1012IIRC the developers specifically said that it’s Sandbox only, and I dunno if they’d really _want_ people making versions of LP for other gamemodes.
The best thing about this mod however is that lambda voices sometimes take audio of npc's or nextbots that are in the files and uses them for lambda voices communication.
So if i have viris and hide and hinn addons they will use the audios of them and catch me offguard when infact i didn't spawn any of those nextbots

Lambda Players is an upgrade to Zeta Players which came from a StarFall chip, ever since the community around it has grown substantially. The creator: StarFrost, has worked every hour and almost a year into this, I'm amazed and glad to see how far he's gotten

One of my favorite addons of all time, I didn’t think the gmod experience could get better, but it did.
Glad to see Gmod players rediscovering the lost art of player bots.
I've been playing a lot of DarkRP servers that died, however I love the gameplay. It would be so complicated to code but to make a DarkRP module would be a godsend to make it feel more interactive. I wonder what the possibilities could be however and what the future of these types of AIs could be?
There definitely should be a voice module. It gives a lambda player a specific voice without soundboards. Also this module should make them react to different things like if you kill them they would scream "F*CK YOU!!" or "Whyyyyyy?! ("
They do, Voice profiles, kill them and they may say a gamer word in chat or voice. Voice profiles gives you a thing where u can give certain voices to a lambda player. You can also add custom ones too

I would love to see someone make a mod that allows a team based system for sandbox mode. You can chose your team and spawn in ai teammates that can run around on their own or follow you and then have an ai enemy team. Basically a customizable team deathmatch mode in sandbox. It would also be cool if they could ride in vehicles with the player.
Zeta Players has something decently similar to that
Hello from future. Some dude create a Team System Module that add teams, tdm, capture the flag and king of the hill gamemodes. And i create a zombie plague gamemode based on team system. Called "Lambda Zombies"

I think it would be really quite neat if they integrated some sort of GPT model such that they would actually respond and hold logical conversations in text chat that the player can interact with.

This is already made for SAMP (san andreas multiplayer) and it is obvious that it is not the player typing. It feels like a binder or a bot.

In the Lambda Players settings theres a way for them to respawn so you dont have to keep on spawning them everytime they die

You can easily become friends with any lambda player by spawning atleast 5 medkits near them (the medkits must be the entities), it works for me
Once gmodders start using ChatGPT and Eleven Labs then we are getting to an extent where and another program to create more sentient NPC AI'a then we will get very close to actual AI's that act very human like within video games.
I tried those, and they are good if you want the feeling of multiplayer. Which I don't, because I use the NPCs and maps to create films, not gameplay. And I like that the NPCs will go off on a map and do what they want, and it becomes a roleplay. But the Lambda just act like multiplayers that are trying to do something entertaining for their 3 twitch viewers.

Maybe something neat would be to connect this to ChatGPT or some other system, along with a speech synth program. GPT would recieve sensory data from, well, what the bot sees, and data about the map, then it would spit out a series of actions along with any text if one is prompted.
I’ve had one scary experience with zetas,so I was building,then they randomly start spawning in and saying “see how fast I can crash the server.”

Only bummer about lambda players is that team system is cut off. You can find one that being developed, but it doesn't have play button to play koth and cf modes.
Imagine playing TTT or DarkRP or Zombie Escape or some other mode, with a bunch of AI.

Try the admin module. Sometimes the bots that get in trouble will argue back at the admin bots.
Also they can also treat you like a normal player punishing you. They dont ban you from your own game, of course, but they will still warn, bring, and jail you
