Yea this is hamster breeding 101. I have accidental hamster babies right now that came from a rescue dwarf hamster named sass (sassafras) from an unregulated pet store that happened to be pregnant which I didn't know until after the babies were born. she was trying to escape the tiny cage she was in when bought her about a month ago. She had babies 8 days ago and I wasn't well versed on how to deal with this, so I did my research. If you feed them enough food to care for their babies, enough water, don't disturb their nesting area or handle your hamster at all while shes caring for her babies, then she won't eat them. She didn't kill a single one of the babies and now they're starting to grow fur a little bit and move around in their nesting area. I'm super excited to raise these babies, I'm glad they get to see another environment than the terrible place I purchased the mother at, they'll get a chance to grow up in spacious cages with plenty to do. It was completely unexpected but I'm glad that the mother is doing so well caring for them :) Update, the babies are still doing well, she had 6 total lol so my wallets a little drained from the cages I've been prepping but it's worth it 100% to watch them grow up. WARNING for all hamster owners!: Hamsters only eat their own baby's when they feel scared for example if ur scent goes onto the baby's the mother will become scared and eat her baby's since the mother thinks that's the safest way for her baby's even though she is eating them. So I suggest just don't touch the baby's at all and if the mother puts her babys somewhere for example in those tubes/tunnels for the hamsters, Do not move the babys even if u aren't touching them ur scent will still go on them and the mother will feel scared again and eat her babys.😅 Hope this helps!😊❤
Ur not supposed to touch the baby’s or the mother will eat them, so that means you touched them. Hamsters remember each other by smell, but when you touch the baby’s, then you put ur scent onto the baby’s and the mother is like, *”this ain’t my child, it does not smell like it!”* Edit: I’m actually correct and incorrect. You see, I’ve been researching, and the hamster actually eats the babies because of energy loss, and because you touched it. You see, if your scent is on your hamsters babies, then the hamster thinks it’s another hamsters baby, Then, the hamster thinks the babies probably died, or disapeared and she eats the babies thinking it’s not her own. She eats the babies because she uses a a lot, a lot of energy to keep the babies alive. But if it’s not possible to take care of her baby’s, or if she thinks so, she eats the babies to gain as much energy back as she can. Hope this helps y’all understand.

They can't. The deed is done, and this usually happens when the mother has no food or you touch her babies... The only thing to do is to give the mother food, hoping it'll be attracted to that, must give Vit-B3. If you separate them, the mother won't be able to raise the baby. Therefore, the babies will die either way, and if you put them back together, the mother won't want them anymore and will let them die.
Here are some things i have heard (i cannot 100% confirm everything): 1. Dont touch the babies. The mother might kill them because she thinks a predator has found them and that this isnt a safe place anymore, or because they just smell different and not like her babies. 2. Dont stress the mother. If she is stressed, she might eat her babies or just neglect them. 3. Keep the place with the babies as quiet, dark and untouched as possible. Dont disturb them. This will also keep the mother calm. If its too noisy, bright or that she just thinks that this isnt a safe place, she will eat them. 4. Its actually ok to give them more food than they usually need. The mother would need more nutrients in general because of the babies and the stress of giving birth. But by giving more food than usual, she will have less the need of eating the weaker and smaller babies. 5. Sometimes, it just happens. Sometimes the baby is just weak, sick or already dead. Its just free food for the mom. Food that she can turn into milk for the others. Less babies also means that she has more energy for the remaining ones. Thats just how nature is

Fun fact: You don't have to shout "IT'S YOUR FAULT😭" given that a hamster can eat its babies out of stress, when there are premature or sick babies, or there are too many hamster babies. (If she has too many children, she will eat 2 or 3 to feed the others.) And here's my one just for you: If you don't know the situation, don't blame the person. And don't be so dumb.
I had a hamster that his partner escaped but the female hamster gave birth to 9 babies hamster and past a month she was eating her babies and after she eated all nine she died past a 16 hours from choking to death.
Omg my grandma had the exact same thing happen, but it was with rabbits. The dad escaped and the mother was so depressed she ate all of her babies then died later
When a hamster eats her babies you cannot stop the mother. A hamster will most likely eat her babies bc of stress, something is wrong with the babies, or of many other reasons as well. As sad as it is, you cannot stop the mother.
Its actually a normal wild part of the hamster's life which is pretty upsetting. Whenever its really hungry it actually eats its own babies to survive or when stressed
if you simply don't touch them and give the momma lots of food, she won't eat them. and leave her alone too, she needs a rest from her babies once in a while!
*It is because she is stressed or scared that you will harm her babies. You should leave her alone and pls 🙏 don't touch anything just give her food and a large cage and you shouldnot touch her babies is any of them is dead just took him with the help of spoon*

The cage is small and you are interfering with the mother while she cares for the babys. In this condition the mother is stressed and would eat her babys. Unless if theres too many of the babys then she would eat them.

It’s concerning to see the conditions you’re keeping your hamsters in on your CZcams channel dedicated to breeding. The tiny enclosure you have them in can stress the mother out, potentially leading to her eating her babies too. Researching proper care is crucial.
According to google, the reason why the mother hamster eats her babies because of she is feeling excessively streesed. This happens either to most young hamster mothers or if your are disturbing her too much throughout the day (Just did some research on google :3)
Babies being touched, hamster looks stressed, super tiny enclosure, no food, no water, geez I wonder WHY she ate the babies? Its almost like she didn't have nutrition, OR the space to raise them, and you raise almost every one your hamsters like this, I feel sorry for them all... 😥

I came across this while scrolling, the comments were just stupid. If she/he touches the babies the mother hamster will be more stressed causing the mother to eat more of her children🤦
the need for additional protein when the mother is breastfeeding. Apart from that, mother hamsters eat their children due to the human odor left on their children. This confuses the mother hamster into thinking that the children are their food.😊😊

This happens when u dont have alot of food inside the box because mother understand that she has to kill some of the babes so the other survives also she do it if obe is sick
you should never touch the baby with bare hands you gonna lose them all
Oke... Thank you 🙏
@@HamsterMaze85you touched it,so the mama ate it. *YOU MONSTER!!!*

Imagine: "Dang, I've had a stressful day at work today... BILLY GET'CHO AHH ON THE DINNER TABLE BEIATCH"
and you let those mama hamsters continue in there?!
If a hamster is feeling excessively stressed, then it may eat its babies. 2 It may feel as though caring for its young is more than it can handle and unfortunately kill and eat its babies. This may be more likely to occur in young hamster mothers or if you are disturbing the mother too much throughout the day.
As a hamsters parent I recommend you should overfill your hamsters food dish and it needs a bigger cage😊
I remember years ago at school in a book I read it said that they will eat their babies when they’re stressed out or when they sense danger
Mom really said “I brought you into this world I can take you out”
I love the tiny feet- 😭
Rest in peace, angel.
Your not taking care of her no wonder why she ate her babies
The way you just heart every comment is just so beautiful to watch
@@Soslay538 Indeed. I guess even bad publicity is publicity.
@@Soslay538the mom does that bcz she is stresssed of too many babies 🥺🥺
@@VanessaZhaNo you are wrong! The reason why mom is stressed is:
*cage is small! Omg if u were hamster how would you live there for like 2 year?! 😬
*There’s no food! (Mother hamsters be stressed during it so they are stressed, u should give them more food to fix the madness
*He should not touch the babies before 2 or 3 weeks 🙁!!!❌❌❌ bcuz The scent of his hand will stay at baby’s body, so mother will think it’s not her baby!😞
Guys please Let’s don’t make this mistake again ☹️ dozens of babies died, reasons are simple :(
@@No_just_no00 true true but they dont also have food or even water...look at the cage i dont see food or water! I toutched my hamsters babies and its still alive...the mom is stressed of too many babies whilst the owner doest not give her food or water! The only way to handle this is by 1.give the mom lots of love 2.give also lots of food..offerfill food is also fine 3.give her lots of water aswell 4.Dont touch the mom when she is giving milk to her baby also dont touch the baby when she is doing that
"I put you into this world and i can takr you out"
- mama hamster
Bad ending
😂💔
Because you’re touching the babies and putting your scent on them

You can’t keep her there man it’s too small she doesn’t have water or food. Next time do some research before starting a hamster family.
STOP HER!
I touched mine and she raised them well. It's about the environment. She is stressed or panicked...
Who respects to your mother like
ITS YOUR FAULT WHY ARE YOU NOT STOPPING HER 😭
When a hamster eats her babies you cannot stop the mother. A hamster will most likely eat her babies bc of stress, something is wrong with the babies, or of many other reasons as well. As sad as it is, you cannot stop the mother.
The fact that he records rather then save the other hamsters is cruel
Its actually a normal wild part of the hamster's life which is pretty upsetting. Whenever its really hungry it actually eats its own babies to survive or when stressed
For those who didn't understand, he was eating his own puppies.....
if you simply don't touch them and give the momma lots of food, she won't eat them. and leave her alone too, she needs a rest from her babies once in a while!
*It is because she is stressed or scared that you will harm her babies. You should leave her alone and pls 🙏 don't touch anything just give her food and a large cage and you shouldnot touch her babies is any of them is dead just took him with the help of spoon*
Its YOUR FAULT
if nobody else knows why its his fault
Because when u touch a hamsters baby
The mom or dad hamster won't recognise
The baby hamsers smell so it will think its not there baby and they will eat it
OML U JUST STANDING THERE AND STANDING AND JUST Recording just help the babies
WHY WOULD U PUT UR HAND THE HAMSTER CAGE When the mom hamster just gives birth u need keep ur hands out u can change water and food but like the mom will get stressed and start eating more baby’s but so sad🙁😔

It's normal for them to eat their babies according to science they eat there babies cause hey don't need much cause of hard work and can strass them out so they have no choice but to eat them it's not their fault
Fun fact: Hamsters eat their babies when their stressed out.And when they are with there husband❤
They love them, but when they are sick or if they seem sick, they eat them, just like cats do
Could be bcuz the cage is too small
That doesn’t look like a cage that looks like a breeding place for female hamsters to give birth😅😅😅😅😅😅
Hamsters really are terrible moms
Your wrong search why do hamsters eat there children!
youre forgetting that shes in a horribly small cage, no food, and no water. what do you expect?
Bro got inspired by "Hamster hell"💀
"Don't touch the babies, the mother will eat them."
-Hamster Hell
The cage is small and you are interfering with the mother while she cares for the babys. In this condition the mother is stressed and would eat her babys. Unless if theres too many of the babys then she would eat them.
Mother:eating hamsters
Cameraman:dont care
The biggest brain ever
This was a main reason I didn’t want hamsters as a kid. Too many classmates would tell stories of the moms eating their young
She's a monster. She shoulds loves your babies 😡
nice gramar
No, the owner is a monster and he is the reason shes eating her babies. She has no food or water no place to hide and i bet he was touching the babies.
No it’s the owners fault. Don’t blame the mom.
It’s an animal, not a monster, she doesn’t know better, especially with the owner mistreating them, it caused stress
@@mjborong610I’m on your side, but you ironically spelled “grammar” wrong, lmao
It’s because you’re not feeding your Hamster
actually it’s because you have to separate the mother from the babies and then give them their own enclosures
@@creegangil439 u can’t separate the hamsters until they’re like four weeks of age I Think or eight
No it's normal for them to eat their babies they can't take care of them so she eats them she didn't have no choice stop blaming her
@@chibi1. I wasn’t blaming you but OK
@@creegangil439no if you see in his other vids he touched the baby hamster just after they were born and that causes the mother to eat them because of the scent
Fun fact: sometimes hamsters eat their babies because of stress, sometimes hunger, or because there are too many mouths to feed
It’s concerning to see the conditions you’re keeping your hamsters in on your CZcams channel dedicated to breeding. The tiny enclosure you have them in can stress the mother out, potentially leading to her eating her babies too. Researching proper care is crucial.
DONT PUSH THE MOM AWAY THATS SO RUDE YOU DID THAT FOR VIEWS😢LET THE MOM CUDDLE WHIT HER BABYS😔
👇
She was trying to eat them...
idiot, what the fuck do you think he’s gonna do after she eats its head off
Ok so you want her to keep eating it
According to google, the reason why the mother hamster eats her babies because of she is feeling excessively streesed. This happens either to most young hamster mothers or if your are disturbing her too much throughout the day
(Just did some research on google :3)
The baby hamster in heaven: BRO STOP EDITING MY DEAD BODY
Babies being touched, hamster looks stressed, super tiny enclosure, no food, no water, geez I wonder WHY she ate the babies? Its almost like she didn't have nutrition, OR the space to raise them, and you raise almost every one your hamsters like this, I feel sorry for them all... 😥
Sometimes if your hamster is stressed or like overwhelmed it will eat its babies
It's because if one is not healthy and other are healthy they need to eat one to keep their other babies to survive.
Baby hamster:mama why you ate my brother 😭😭
Mama:Im hungry and no food
Baby hamster 2:NOOOOOOOO *die*
Fun fact... They don't do that unless they're severely starved or stressed :3
I had gerbils and I will never forget cuz it was during my 13th bday party but your vid brought back the memory but i go in my room to get 1 of the 2 gerbils and Whiskers had ate half of Templetons back out😢 he had blood on his chin and feet... super traumatizing.I dont kno why the one did that.I had them together for years, they never fought ever .I thought they was best friends.
EYOOO THATS A BABY HAMSTER SHELL 😭😭😭😭😭
