Thanks for all the tips from the man himself!! I'm new to playing goalie and these vids were really helpful!💯
Goalie content!!!! Yessir
More where that came from!
I used to have the habit of chopping my feet, on the theory that objects in motion stay in motions so that quick chop steps kept me more reactive (the drawback could be that you chop step in the direction opposite of the shot at that exact moment, but, for me, I found that by being moving I still got to my spot quicker than if I was static, YMMV).
I had also briefly played Offensive Line in High School and the OL footwork practices (especially Tackle drills) are really, really helpful for Goalie work, since it also involves short steps on an arc.
Thank you stay healthy and stay safe
Something he didn’t mention that he does is keeping that bottom-hand arm locked out and straight. Creates a nice pivot area for your stick and you’ll only have to worry about punching that top hand to a spot.
To think this guy was a top goalie in the league a couple years ago is hard to comprehend. Don’t get me wrong though he IS still a pro goalie so he is still very good.
Lets gooo baby
