I don't get why the like of ono and maruyama's uchi mata are so praised? It seem to rely a lot on their athletic ability rather than traditional skill of control. It's tremendous to watch but how can you learn from this? I just saw Maruyama in paris grand slam and it seem like that his athletic ability is leaving him, a lot of waza-ari from his uchi.
