    Love the guy complaining about something being "halal" when all it means is that it's religiously safe for muslims to eat. It's no different from something being "kosher" for jews, or an indication that it's safe for vegetarians or vegans. It's simple dietary information.

      @@SantaFishes101 Probably chefs went abroad to study, or they just learnt to cook the same way everyone does. There is no mass migration outside ''the West'', only (formerly) white countries decided to do that.

      In the context of the rest of his outlook though, it's not great. It's very much the imperialist "we'll go to your countries and take your shit but don't dare come and dirty our carpets with those feet of yours".
      Either way, though, I tend to find you don't get an authentic experience without actually going to the country. Both immigrants and native chefs will embellish recipes to appeal to local tastes. Like a Korma in the UK is not the same as ones I've had in India, and is very different from the ones I've had in the USA as well.
