Love the concept buuut OMG all these noodles must've gone completely soggy long before they started shooting! That's like a crime against humanity man, udon has got to be enjoyed fresh and crunchy, straight out of the pot, especially the sanuki udon that Marugame offers😱
We were very lucky the team came and prepared them all for us so we got to eat them straight away! 😊 we couldn’t have made it possible without their kind help!!

Great to see franchises like Marugame to be thriving in the West whilst not caving in too much to serve every single Japanese-y dish like sushi, udon, ramen and katsu all at once, which unfortunately a lot of "Japanese" food venues apparently have learnt to do.I think that is a huge shame especially when even prestige udon or ramen stalls trying to eke it out in the West seem to do that for $$$ whereas ramen, udon,soba or any other dishes deserve dedicated ramen or udon shops as they do here in Japan🎉
Godfrey is normally such a joy to watch, but he seemed to be in a bad mood or something this time.
Japanese food isn’t meant to be spicy. It feels unfair to say the flavor is missing when you’re looking for something that’s never meant to be there, y’know?
