I just got the carbon rebate back, it was 200 dollars. It is said that I will get this 4x this year which amounts to 800 dollars. I just had to pay 1600 in extra taxes that Trudeau added on to my already heavily taxed pay check. Between my husband and I we bring home 70, 000. So where is my 1600 and more that Trudeau said I will be reimbursed?
My rebate barely covers the tax I pay on heating my home. It falls far short of covering what I pay on fueling my vehicles and that doesn't even scratch the surface on the carbon tax related increases to the cost of everything. That's the big lie, that's where we lose.
The rebates are not intended to help Canadians. They're just a fake help scam.

If you have a 70L gas tank in your vehicle, in some of the most moderately affected areas, gas has gone up 20-30c/L (often more) in the past few weeks.. Alberta went from 1.20/L to 1.50/L where I live. Every tank of gas I pay for every 2 weeks (which is less often than a lot of people) costs 15-18 bucks extra (at 50-60L to fill up, respectively). So that 15-18 dollars every 2 weeks over the course of 3 months is between 90-108 dollars extra I pay out... And that's JUST FOR GAS in my car. That doesn't include inflated food and goods prices, inflated service prices, and not to mention our taxes are going up because GST is on TOP of the carbon tax.

When you have to struggle to eat, climate change isn't your first priority. Try telling starving children that it's more important to pay money to a government that "gives" it back to them, because that will lower the temperature of the earth. How delusional do these politicians have to be? How disconnected from reality are they?
