Hat, sunglasses,view finder,mat, athlete wrist band,all these are useful when we Sketch outside,my favourite is view finder,I don't have one ,but now I can't wait,I am going to diy this☺️, because I am finding it helpful for me, because whenever I see lots of subject,I usually confused to decide exactly what to capture,in my little page, that's why I think it's good to have one,

The red filter would have me feeling sick in a minute or less, especially in sunglass form. What would you recommend instead?
Squinting your eyes works great! I only use a red filter briefly if I need it (for a few seconds); I don’t paint with it. 😊

I have that same view catcher but I don't really understand how to use it, lol. Are you holding it at arms length?
I move it to find the composition, so no. I only hold a pencil or brush at arm’s length when measuring.

What do you use for an umbrella?
I don’t use umbrellas. I just make sure my canvas or sketchbook is in the shade. I live in England so that’s easier to do. 😅
