All you have to know is that she wanted to sing for Simon Crowel when she
was 3. Her mom told her she was too young for the show's policy but she
was fearless, even at that young age, and ask yourself how many child singers
would sing totally a'capella on a national contest like Norway's Got Talent at
    any age, much less 7?

A star in the making. People talks about god given talent, pero there is a lot of hard work to reach the level that Angelina has. Talent does not hurt, but this girl works very hard, she is dedicated and she has a soul as big as the universe. God bless her.

Something that I love about this one is how it shows that, even though Angelina usually gives the impression that what she does is completely effortless, the truth is she has put in a LOT of work to make it look so easy. Something else that is impressive is that even a video that shows some (very rare) examples of her struggling, is still something that I can listen to over and over. I would really like to hear the final result of this one after she practiced it a few more times. I would bet that it was flawless by the time she turned 10 ;)

I recently watched a video of Angelina at the age of 6 performing on stage: words escaped her memory, the pronunciation was off, she wasn't "in the pocket" - but she stayed laser focused on the sentiment, the mood, the color, the story, the emotion, the motion of the song and portrayed them perfectly. She doesn't sing notes and words, she paints a picture.

👩🏻🎤🎵🌎⭐️🇳🇴❤️ Thanks Valerie! One of Angelina's many endearing qualities is her willingness, and fearlessness, to share rehearsals, playful informal performances, and unpolished works-in-progress with her fans. I really enjoy watching them because they give us a glimpse into her creative process, and her incredible powers of concentration and focus. With Angelina it is clearly about the art and the music, not her. She is the Intrepid Queen of Jazz!

Thank you for a fine reaction, Valerie. As Angelina never disappoints me with her performance, you never disappoint me with your well reasoned analysis of her performances. I'subscribed the day you discovered Angelina and have watched all of your reactions to her - 24 unless I've miscounted - and in every one I learn something new.
Everyone who has watched and listened to Angelina knows that she is fearless; incredibly talented and hard-working, consistently honing her craft but for me what stands out is the confidence she has in herself as a human being. There is no other person I know who is so willing to permit the upload of so many personal videos to public gaze and be comfortable about it. For this we must give credit to Angelina's family. They recognised her unique ability when she was very young and have never wavered in the support and love and protection they have given to her. This, together with Angelina's wisdom in recognising that the decisions they made on her behalf were wise ones. There is a saying I remember from my own youth. "He is so sure of himself that he doesn't mind people seeing him 'warts and all'". Describes Angelina to a "T"

By golly, there’s a lot of good talent showing up currently among young singers. But, Angelina seems to speak to so many of us directly and deeply. She shares with us her God given gift of insight into our collective hurts and sorrows. I enjoy so many different brilliant female singers, but to me, Angelina surpasses everyone. She can technically do it all, but she purposefully chooses only what is required for conveying the meaning and emotions of the song. Her empathetic sensitivity clearly shines brightly.

Great reaction. Here we see the hard work that Angelina puts in to develop the final version that we expect to see. No fancy tricks, with Angelina most of her best performances are in live concerts (often open air), perhaps each time a subtly different interpretation, this is why we can listen to so many performances of the same song, but get something different out of it each time. I hope, when the pandemic is over, that we can get to experience more concert performances, and who knows, attend in person...

This was the theme song from the most recent 007/James Bond film, "Spectre". She recorded "Skyfall" in her school's studio at age six a year before performing on Norway's Got Talent. That recording is on CZcams along with Tom Jones' "I Who Have Nothing" and Christina Aguilera's, "Hurt" all at age 6. She was born with a Lomborghini voice and was learning how to master it. Watching her face you can see the dedication/concentration on mastering the song. She is a hard worker but she makes it, in the end, look effortless. Your reactions are thoughtful and from a place of knowledge. Thank you.

this is learning...more of a "HEARSAL" than a REHEARSAL.
Has to be so hard to both learn song on a piano at same time as learning the melody of the lyrics and the words/positioning/timing/emphasis... I could see myself as such an artist (right...LOL) but learning the song/piano first, maybe then while humming the melody and emphasis... THEN, once piano is down, THEN tackling the lyrics WITH it. She does both at once.. no time to waste. Imagine development of a NEW ORIGINAL... Making it sound right from the get-go with no template to work from.................... Takes trial and error and decision making all the way through.

Val, I see a young Angelina practicing a new song for the first time while singing, playing the piano, and reading either the sheet music or the lyrics. I tend to lean toward her reading the sheet music since she was visibly being careful to play the right notes and cords. Seeing Angelina struggle a bit to learn the song I wish I had 1/100th of her musical ability.

Hi, Valerie! She was working on at least three quite different songs in this session. I suspect that while she wants to get the piano portion right, her main focus is how she wants to present the vocal portion. This is where and how she works out her songs. A year or so later she was doing the same thing with "Wicked Game". There are three videos of the session. I believe this is the best (least distracting video, the audio is the same in all three). For me, this is the best cover of Isaac's song, including the OG, that I've heard. czcams.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/video.html

You'll find "I Who Have Nothing" similarly interesting. One of her first studio sessions (at age 6), AJ flubs a couple of lines in the middle -- but you would never know, because she covers it so well. From the conversation between AJ & the sound engineer, I believe this was her first take (and, of course recorded in a single take), so there was no post-processing like auto-tune (just echo & reverb on her mic, which you'll hear when she's speaking).
This is certainly not a great recording (e.g., it's using cellphone audio rather than sound board output, and the video is very dark). Nevertheless, you can definitely get the sense that Angelina is a prodigy in the making. This YT video is here: czcams.com/video/RjQZKBpVaes/video.html

She is a phenomenon of vocal sincerity and passion. Please consider her for your reactions. Here's three of her best in my estimation . 1. her outstanding rendition of a Romanian traditional song 'Lie, ciocârlie ' (DEAR, LARK), arranged especially for her voice by Romanian musician Vali Boghean. LAURA BRETAN : czcams.com/video/YimuqSeCCIs/video.html - ...the lesser seen one of two video versions of this performance . Also 2. arranged for her by Israeli pianist and composer Giora Linenberg - ADAGIO - czcams.com/video/LqwLDLRlTaQ/video.html ...There are also live versions of this. And, 3. remarkably, singing in Hebrew- Jerusalem the Golden - (Yerushalayim Shel Zahav) - czcams.com/video/IWheAW7uh-k/video.html - in which her rendition is absolutely riveting.

Angelina's choice is once again over a Bond song theme; visibly she has a special attraction to Bond songs, starting with Skyfall czcams.com/video/Oc50HiItEu0/video.html at an early age of 6, in another interview she sang some notes of Goldfinger and here a cover of Diamonds Are Forever - czcams.com/video/9RGZRg9YH3k/video.html finishing with this one you reacted to from Spectre (here by Sam Smith) czcams.com/video/8jzDnsjYv9A/video.html

Valerie, you really need to listen to her Wicked Game, by Chris Issacs when she was 12. czcams.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/video.html I've recommended it to you before because it is a master class in the use of negative space. She is playing keyboards while singing, but you only see her playing a couple of times in the video, but no mistakes & it's hauntingly beautiful. She said she went to her "Music Corner" to play around with the song & this was the result, the best version I've ever heard, including the original. BTW, great reaction for this rehearsal & she was only 9 yo.

I like her performance better than Sam Smith's. He spends too much of the song in his head voice. I like the head voice as an embellishment, something to add texture, not a main feature.

I think you have some of the best inputs of all the reaction video people ...but the sound of the artist is always terrible. You should use a headset or something. Now the sound sound like it comes from speaker in your room.

That''s interesting. I am recording my reaction videos with original sound from a third party software. In this instance, the original sound wasn't the best.

@@VocalSplendorStudios Yes, but many of the other reactors is able to keep the sound from the original. When i lissen to your reactions i often stop to find the original first to hear the true sound. But yes in this case the sound was bad from the beginning. It´s hard for me to know what causing it, but if you compare the sound with others am shore you be able to here the differnce in quality. Thanks for great reactions!
