"what's the hardest part of having ferrets?" 2 fold - friends that are allergic, and the furballs short life/passing. :( i think 3 is the optimum number of ferrets. if one does pass, you can get another to help in that grief. 1 is too few, 4 is getting a little crazy.
My ferret, Bruce, sadly passed away at the age of 1 from insolimona. He lived a happy life, though. He was having seizures, and could barely lift his head. He’s in heaven now.
I love both your channels. Was a ferret owner from 1986 to 2018. My record was four ferrets at once. Was a real challenge but totally worth it. My deepest condolences about your boy. All the best from Canada.

My Dusty looks a lot like your first Ferret, I too got him at a petstore, so he is a Marshall'sFerret, he was all alone, 6 months old, they had sold his sister and he was gaining a lot of weight they said. He will only eat Kibble, we buy two expensive brands and mix them, got him off that store brand Marshall's as soon as we got him. We just love him so much, Dusty is almost 2 now, he is just so good, well adjusted and happy that we are scared to get another one. ;)

Aaaaah watching this video makes me miss my ferrets! My family had five of them at one point, they were the cutest and so much fun. Sadly, a ferret would be a bad idea in my current home. Too many places to get lost and I've already had that problem with my cat more often than I'm comfortable with!
I have four and I find that even when I’m not around they keep each other company and when ones sleeping there’s always someone up to run around with the other or just eat my things
OK so finally someone introduces their favorite to another persons fear how would you properly bond them because I have two favorites and my sister gave up hers to me but I really want to keep that one so I don’t know how to bond one of them with my two because one of them does not like the other and I really don’t wanna have to give her up so what do I do can you do like on how to bomb your ferrets video
That's interesting about the female ferrets and hunting. We frequently have mice in our basement, and my girl Princess is relentless about hunting them down when she finds them. My boys always just ignore the mice completely lol.

So much joy!! I loved hearing all the background info. Our Harry reminds me of moose. They look alike, but Harry was also a little pet store loner. My husband thought he was so sweet and calm just hanging alone and brought him home. He has his moments but he continues to be our sweet sensitive little boy
I live in Belgium and i wasn't aware about the health issues. I kept ferrets for over 10 years when i lived at my own. And believe it ore not but my previous ferret couple looked allot like Niffler my femal Aranka and i also had a rescue ferret out of the hunting same story as Bears he was to big for the hunt i called him Alexander :p @Emzotic

Thanks ferrets for saving my life, was in hospital for less than a week after my stroke because they were my motivation for doing all my strength and balance excersises, 5hank guys!!!
One of my ferrets, he's a kit still if I upset him by saying no to something or holding him too long when he's wanting to play he will chase me and jump up my leg and give me a nip to tell me off 😂 it doesn't hurt and I find it hilarious how vengeful he is but right after he's his sweet little self again a hahha
I love the both of you ladies I watch both of your channels I am a first time ferret own I have a 10 month old girl and I now have a 6 month old girl and unfortunately my too little girls we believe have ECE and are trying to find a good vet in south Jersey that knows anything about ferrets we have been to the vet twice in a month and we still don't know for sure what is going on but I agree with both of you ferrets sick or not are just so happy little babies my to girls are so different my first little girl was a bitter very very feisty and the 6 month old girl was never a bitter and from day one is been just a sweet little girl who is like your moose I never worry about letting anyone hold her first one on the other hand I don't trust to let anyone hold her because she was such a Nipper but thank God my princess has stopped biting since we got her a baby sitter but again I love watching the two of you do both have wonderful personalities sorry the common so long LOL
I think female mammals are typically more intense as biological imperative. They often are the soul providers and protectors after they bare their offspring. They can't afford some of the attributes male animals are known. I know it is true for my rats. The girls have a high intensity, business or play vs my males who tend to be low key both mentally and physically.

Thank you for this video it's really nice and joyful to watch :D I'm pleased to see that although I tend to see a lot of chonk female, finally I see a difference male/female close to mines ^^ I kinda agree with the 2 ferrets is my max, because I feel like I would not be able to bring enough time and attention to more ... two is already so much time consuming Even if I had a ill' jill previously that was really constantly sniffing and calculating, I would say my Rose is kinda like Moose : a cuddle bug able to go with whoever new might appear and often searching human warmth and scratches ^^ They really all have their own personality :3
I have 7 ferrets and 2 are females and they all get on really well, although one female thinks she owns everyone and also thinks she is the boss. She is not though 😂 thy same ferret hisses st everything, she never dooks but she hisses. We think she can’t dook so she hisses instead, it’s really strange as she sounds like she is always angry but she isn’t 😂.
People are going to call me a hoarder but I have 13 ferrets and a split into groups of the girls are put into a group of three and the boys are put into groups of 5 and I have three different cages they all get along with each other but it's better safe than sorry then keeping them all in one cage

If your ferret spends a lot of time with you or outside the cage while he's awake (about 4-6 total hours during the morning and evening), it can be ok to have one. However, if your ferret isn't getting enough stimulation, another ferret can help bring up their spirits.
