Yup 500 Ton = 1,000,000 lbs or equivalent to: 2 train engines or 3 blue wales or 3 two story houses and finally 2 Statues of liberties… the more you know.
Sorry for my bad english but I think You have done a little mistake... The total weight of the Statue of Liberty (concrete foundation, inner framework and outer copper surface) is around 54.312.000 lbs. So the hydraulic press generates pressure of 1/54 Statue of Liberty and not 2x Statue of Liberty. But the power is still impressive! Greetings!

He could easily crush a freezer with this press and a couple 5ft/1.5m sheets of 1 inch/2.5cm iron, but I doubt it would be entertaining to watch. I could be wrong
I wish you could test the armor of the M1A2 but it's composition is highly classified. I saw a piece of broken armor from a M1A1 when I was in the U.S. Army back in the late 80's. It was on a tank trail in a training area. It had fallen off and some other tanks drove over it. Our standing orders if we came across it was to not look at it and guard it until someone came to take it away. Of course we looked at it. It was honeycombed and looked like peanut butter, ceramic I believe. No armor can stop a depleted uranium round except the latest reactive armor and even that is no guarantee.
My understanding is even the newest reactive armor is vulnerable to some weapons being fielded by the Russians which is why the Ukrainians lost many of the Leopard 2s given to them (that and apparently these Leopards didn't have active defense systems like the Abrams does).
@@PaulvonOberstein I think it's time to give up on tanks. they are just too vulnerable now. Anti-Tank technology has advanced faster than the armor. Instead of spending $10 million dollars for a tank they should spend it on Javelin missiles, $178,000 for the initial platform and missile and $78,000 for the replacement missiles. Plus the next generation of anti-tank weapons will be even more effective. The M15 anti-tank mine seriously needs to be upgraded and replaced with something that can be remotely detonated. Plus an antimaterial rifle that can break the track.
@@damianayre2130 Right. Highly mobile tanks like the Abrams and Leopard 2 made sense for rapid wars of maneuver, like in the deserts of Iraq or what was expected to happen in Europe if the Cold War went hot. But it seems technology today (such as accurate, persistent, real-time satellite imagery, ubiquitous handheld anti-tank weapons, and COTS drones that are easy to use) actually cancels out the RMA rather than enabling it like it did 20-30 years ago. Modern land war seems to be a war of mass infantry and precision missile attacks, at least until Russia decides it wants to try a limited nuclear attack with low-yield weapons or something radical like that. The only thing conventionally that could be a real game changer is if NATO were to establish air superiority over Ukraine -- but again, how can that be done without causing Russia to escalate to something radical like a limited nuclear attack?
@@PaulvonOberstein The simulations always end the same way and have since I was in the U.S. Army in the late 80's. Our anti-tank technology and tanks defeat the Russian tanks and the Russians start to lose ground. We advance and once we approach their border they set off a small nuke on the front. We respond with a small nuke of our own, they set off a big nuke, we do the same and then it is on and everybody dies.
It’s 115mm or 1.15 cm in diameter. The T-62 has a smoothbore gun so no worry’s about rifling. Tank guns are measured in millimeters so that is how I know
