This is a nice idea for everyone. I do most of the cooking in my home, although my wife cooks just fine, but I don't think we've ever done meal prep together in this way. It looks like a great activity to get the kids involved with to transfer knowledge and skills. Too many of us end up with frozen, processed food because life is hitting too hard to be doing the Chef thing daily. We need to get back in control of our collective health as Black people. Good on y'all for setting the example!
This is an example of rethinking. Rethinking what social activities can be and look like. This is great and I love it. I think we live in a time where there's so much available that we forget how enjoyable and valuable these "small" activities are, especially when shared with a loved one

She always did the ugandan tradition us women cooking our special dishes venting and growing she was frugal 😂😂😂😂kept us out of alot 🇺🇸🇺🇬we all grew had kids many got married still married .the rest we are still growimg and learning in a foreign land .yesss please keep it up i always wished communities of women in America did because african imigrants do . You become each others resource community
Thank you for sharing this. Nice to see a modern version of this custom. At my church we would build community by doing activities together and called it "productive fellowship". We packed out freezer meals for baby showers. We helped each other paint rooms, remodel "girl caves", and plant gardens. As moms of young children we had to multitask. We made many fun memories. 😀
