I'm pretty stoked about learning the essential know-hows about the 97 215 EC I just purchased. These videos are thus far my boat Bible. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to make these videos. You're awesome man!
I love your videos, seen them all! Just a few pts to critique. The blower should run 5 min before starting the engine and 5min after shutting it off. In boating the “ropes” become lines. Tying up the boat should have a bow line, stern line and possibly a spring line depending on docking conditions.
Doing these videos must be extremely difficult. Again, keep up the good work!

@NoNonsenseKnowHow Nice video. One thing, the open space under the tray, where you put your spare 5 gallons of fuel is actually the location where the fresh water tank should be.
Thanks. And yeah, the original tank was cracked and broken. Always thought of adding a new tank, but ended up just keeping the universal jug down there

When you open the engine compartment I noticed the top of the compartment does not have that egg shell noise insulation. Are you able to sound proof the top of the compartment? I was thinking of doing it to mine. Thanks!
Why wouldn't Sea Ray put the stern door on the same side as the swim ladder? Seems weird to have to walk to the other side of the boat to enter.

I have the same boat.. how do u fill the tank for the transom shower/ sink? It has the pump for pressure but I can figure out how to fill the tank. Thanks in advance.
There should be a fill port on the stern opposite the stern door that you attach a hose to but it doesnt look like hes got one. My '97 215 EC has it.
There should be a little hatch access right before you go down the stairs into the cuddy cabin that will open up and give you access to your water tank. You can see it on the video as he makes his way around the boat. It’s a circular hatch on the floor right before the stairs.

And it will need a new impeller since I just started it dry
That's a myth bro. Ask me how I know. Maybe if it was sitting dry for a couple years and it was actually dry inside the impeller housing. But even then starting it for a few seconds never hurts anything.

I don't trust anything that's been rebuilt unless it was done by a very reputable shop or I know who did it. Might be fine might not. Dice roll
