Emmet Bergin's death reported on RTÉ News (20th March 2024)

RTÉ News reports on the death of the well-known Irish film and television actor Emmet Bergin. Born in Carlow town, and raised in Drimnagh in south Dublin, Bergin will be best remembered for his role as businessman Dick Moran in the long-running RTÉ soap opera "Glenroe". Bergin, who was the elder brother of fellow actor Patrick Bergin, died suddenly of a heart attack on 15th March 2024. He was 79 years old.
