Hi I have an sg300 with no yellow filling the damper. Is it the same process, put a syringe on the yellow line that feeds the damper and pull to draw the ink? Thanks
Hi! Mike. Do you have any recommendation for any ultrasonic cleaner? Do they actually works and what brand? one question for this video, with the dried ink in the lines do you pull (with cleaning cartridges installed) or push like you did here
It took me pushing, sometimes i put in cleaning cartridges to try and break needle apart. This was old machine that I don't intend on fixing or would flush lines real good after breaking the clog loose. Ultrasonics damage the dx4 printhead. I'd say 1 out of 3 never work right when I pull from ultrasonic. I have been working with printhead doctor manufacture on some techniques to clean dx4 heads. Ive had some pretty good luck with these new methods but do not use the ultrasonic feature
It is definitely possible, just insure you choke the lines off. Remove cables and get them out of harms way. When removing dampers take close look to insure the o-rings didn't get left behind
@@reprint217 i'm doing full coverage, but the sides of my objects are 5 mm tall. kinda like a phone case but i need to print all the way to the base of the object
Hi MIke. You're the absolute Plotter-God on CZcams, that first! It already helped me a lot watching your videos. But now, i got an issues with my SP-300i with the black... all other colors are absolutely fine and on spot in the test print pattern. One year ago, the printhead CYAN/BLACK was changed, but now i got the same issues again in the black. I'm not really sure, that it is the head again, since cyan prints absolutely fine, no? Is it a damper problem or do you know from your vast knowledge what it could be? I can send you also an image of the testprint if that helps... Is there a possibility to paypal you some dollars for your help? Cheers from Switzerland, Oliver -
Appreciate the kind words! would probably assume you are an occasional printer and likely use oem inks. The max black formulation is notorious for ruining black heads. People always claim it's the carbon in the black inks, but other inks don't cause it. Unfortunately their is no fix for it.
@@reprint217 Thanks for your feedback! I managed to recover the black, i got some deflection, but i restored them with 2 head soaks and i changed the black damper and the captop :-) i use roland eco-sol max ink and yes, i have to print more i think. Cheers, Oli -
Thanks for reply. Too bad for me. Is there any way to connect SC to Win11 environment? I used to operate it on WinXP using old Poster Print software. Now I use RF via VersaWorks. My version of PP is not compatibile with Win11. I want to eliminate using old PC with WinXP avoiding emulators or such solutions. Any advice? :) @@reprint217
@@reprint217 tnx, I tryed that method with soaking but still cant get yellow. Its like cemented on head and few nozzles are working in whole area of head. Like every 3dr is stuck. So I will try this what you say. Tnx again
Thanks Mike I learned lots from you boss
Appreciate the support!

No! Pull from the captop

is it possible to remove the damper without removing the printhead on the Roland vs640i?

do you have any recommendations for an entry level UV printer that can print on irregular surfaces that have 5 mm drops? thank you
Are you trying to print small text or barcodes? I had a guy that wanted a uv for similar and I can check what he ultimately went with

@@reprint217 Do you have any recommendation for an alternative black ink for the SP-300i?
There are so many places online that sell parts. Who or which website do you recommend for OE parts.
Mix between Digiprint supplies and Sign in Global. Dx7 I usually do sign in global. Dx4 digiprint
what size syringe are you using??
Whatever I can find lol. Usually 20ML
@@reprint217 thankyou
I installed a new head on my sg-540. I got it to print black, but It won't print yellow. Do you have any idea the cause ??
Hi everyone. Do you know is it possible that SC-540 can work under VersaWorks 6+?
Unfortunately the SC is not supported by VW6

Hi Mike, where can I order that stronger cleaning solution. But shipping is for EU?
Honestly, I do not know. If you have regular cleaner try 3 parts oem cleaner to 1 part acetone. Not too much.

can I soak head in that mix? Is it ok acetone mix in caps?
