  • Some time ago Mike found half of a very valuable Civil War belt buckle, but in his subsequent searches, he could not find the missing half. On this day, Mike invites me to help him search for the missing piece, and right off the bat Mike gets a great signal and thinks his search may be over.
    About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my CZcams "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

Just wanted to say thank you. My husband 2020 going into 2021 was quite ill. He required months of inhouse rehab therapy. He had often been ill with one thing or another but this was the first time I couldn't bring him home after his hospital stays. The house was to quiet and for once I had the remote. I started playing all of your videos from start to finish. I enjoyed them when I payed attention and they were a pleasant noise when I was distracted. I made it thru almost all of them and he finally came home for about 8 months. I got behind. He got pneumonia again and went into the hospital. I started again. He passed on Feb 8th and I have watched, listened, slept thru all of them. Thanks foe being there even though you didn't know it. Lol

I love the education that you provide with your videos which I always find entertaining, but most important, very educational.
You explain in detail, not only your finds, but the location and topography of the areas that you hunt.
Your explanation of old home foundations and road traces are the things that most detectorists don't talk about on their videos.
    Thanks for taking us along!

I remember watching a program and they were putting in a parking lot on Monday and a archologist lady got permission to do one last check over the weekend, because there was reason to believe it was an important archeological spot. They came back and found her digging out a skeleton with a massive hole in the skull, when they asked her what weapon would have caused that, she said , oh , I did that with the pick!. So much for a college education in archeology, you could go to 3rd grade and know you were not supposed to destroy the find as you take it out.
He just refused to move back a few inches no matter how much you coached him. I'm surprised the half he found isn't whacked.

Ours was about the same size has shelves along tw p walls were we stored canned goods and then we stored our potatoes on the at the back. There was a storage shed built over the top of the celle. We stored our crocks of pickles in the shep along with the overflow of our potatoes and surplusof canned goods.

We had that twisted metal lighting rods on the house when I was born. House was early 1900s . Lighting rod ran down side of the house to ground. I always thought the added metal was counter productive. The lighting rod itself had a large thin glass globe on it so if lighting did strike the house the glass would turn black or even shatter confirming a strike.

Until he had a system installed, he got blasted by lightning pretty regularly.
Luckily no extreme damage. worst a basement window blown out.
