I’ve never gotten to see anything like her performance before and I absolutely love it! I can’t imagine how difficult it is to perform that song and she makes it sound and look so easy. That’s pure talent right there!

Siki Jo-An absolutely deserved that 4-chair turn. Her voice, her control, her sheer presence were all out of this world.
I truly cannot articulate my thoughts and feelings about her performance.
I’m from the US and I don’t have much experience with music from other countries (working on changing that), and also have very little training in vocals. All of that to say I basically don’t know anything about music but I LOVE and deeply admire what Siki Jo-An does.

Fun fact: Sheldon Riley (Australia) represented his country in this years Eurovision in Turin, Italy with his self-penned track from when he was 15 years old, "Not The Same." & finished in 15th place. (I think he probably was inspired by a former Eurovision winner to go through the contest, whichever winner he was inspired by to go through the Eurovision, he couldve been looking up to them.)
Really? I need to see this performance. I stopped watching eurovision years ago. But I still wonder why "australia" is in an european contest
@@FanFolkMetal as far as I know, Eurovision became REALLY popular in Australia, so much popular that they asked for participation. The EV higher-ups thought "why not?" and allowed Australia to be a "guest nation" just once, as an interval act for the main show. Guess what? Australia put on a really remarkable performance so that the year after they gain the possibility to partecipate ("una tantum") and got a not so predictable 5th place in the finals (remember that the votes you get are from the other countries, not from yours).
Long story short, they now are acknowledged as a full member of the show.💁

I was delegation host for Australia at this year's ESC, and Sheldon was the kindest person ever. It was amazing working with him, he truly made us feel as if we were part of the team, not just random volunteers! We were all very sad he got such few votes from the public, he definitely deserved more

I think the people who have an issue with Sheldon is partially that he doesn’t fit in with a lot of the auditions; he’s genuinely already a fully fledged thought out performer, it’s more of a show than the other auditions and I think that alienates a lot of viewers bc it might make him seem like he’s a glutton for attention, maybe overly confident but for me it just makes it obvious how much he wants to obtain his dream and how his personality is intertwined with preforming. Nobody can argue he has an amazing voice and people always need something negative to say, and that’s about all that’s left after his voice lol

Bed of Roses from Germany..Damn!!That's how it should be,way better than the real deal..The judges just lost themselves out in a moment and sang a long in good harmony forgetting it was an audition..And that's the way it should be,let the moment carry you sometime and loosen up those stiffen ears..👍👍👏👏

Well, for me, Matthias Nebel was simply the best solo male audition of all time. Damn this guy's voice is absolutely insane. Perfect drives, insane vocal range, super accurate pitch to rock music... I don't know how this guy couldn't win.

Vincent Vinal is definitely a show stopper! I can tell that he is way more then just a rapper. He has a dynamic range and excellent control. I haven't researched what ever became of him, but I'd like to see more

Vernon Barnard is an incredible singer. He can carry the weight of emotions through his singing. One can always learn technique, but that my friends is the power to touch people's hearts through music. Even the most technically gifted or hard working singer without it is empty, and that can't be learned.

This was hands down one of the best auditions, unfortunately he didn’t stay in this stripped down performance line. In my opinion his voice shines this way, they overstyled him and chose terrible songs. But maybe it’s actually him and the audition was rather out of the ordinary for him. No idea.

SHELDON RILEY hands down. I'm in love with his voice. Fernado Daniel & Vincent Vinel (Eminem my favourite arrangement of the song and his voice just incredible & the last girl were and Katerine (I don't know the language but holyshit and that song, i llove it, first time I hear it).. They are all equally talented because I could add them all to my list, hard to chose, but i've been playing Sheldon's audition over and over for the past 24 hours and if anything, i'm loving him more.

@@mco7269 yes it is. They were supposed to be an anniversary guest in 2015 in order to commemorate Eurovisions 60th anniversary. Since then, They have been in a number of contests & got their best placing the year after they debuted - 2016, where Dami Im finished second with her song "The sound of silence", though she may not have won the competition outright, she won the hearts of the jury vote & came 4th in the televoting, finishing as Runner up to Ukraine's Jamala, and her song, "1944."
