- Hey, been wanting to make this video on this guitar and thought I'd put it up in between my usual small engine and electrical videos so I'm not interfering with the usually pattern of those videos! Really Like this guitar and recommend getting one! Great bare-bones type mustang, great build quality, and amazing finish! Picked one up in Torino red about a month ago. Your review is dead on with my thoughts about this guitar. Buy one.
Wow, very sweet tone. Nice and bright, lots of clarity. I ordered one and can't wait to jam on it. Sounds very Fender-y. What I call "Johnny Cash tone!"

I have short fingers attached to big bear paws. The short scale allows me to stretch across more frets. I like my sonic mustang. I bought the black one with maple fretboard and dual humbuckers. Limited edition. Sometimes I wish I would have gotten the green sparkle limeted edition.
I got one of these as a surprise gift from my wife, unlike yours it was made in China and the pick ups measured over 12ohms each!!! I swapped them out for neck and bridge Strat pups and they sound great. Mine also had a couple of high frets which needed dressing but other than that it was set up pretty good, excellent for the price.

I find that this is an amazing guitar. Perfect Sunburst. Bright sound. Fender has stepped it up with this model.

I ordered one from fender and it arrived 11/3. Second replacement arrived yesterday so I need to get around and check it out when I get a day off. Great sound instrument, though.

This guitar is very playable and cool in its own way.
I have 2 of them....both in sunburst....I installed humbuckers in one of them.....
I like the simple approach and that its just a more basic mustang. Do miss the tremolo though! Thanks for Watching!!!

I had he Squire Bullet Mustang in HH config and I sold it. I think I like the Sonic Mustang with the single coil pickups better. It looks great with the sunburst finish. I like the short scale it has. The maple neck looks good too.
Got one in pink, beautiful guitar and great for blues. 💓🎸.

I have the red one and I did a few mods. White pearl pickguard, locking tuners, roller trees and red metal knobs. I also have a Bullet Mustang-90.

I changed the pickups for Tonerider's. Now it sounds like a pro.
Which set did you get?
@@perro_8688 Vintage Plus for a Tele. They fit, doesn't take a lot of refitting with either. General setup, etc.Is polishing and crowning frets that difficult? Left the electrics alone, it's a 150 quid guitar.

I returned my sonic Strat because the neck was too thick. But otherwise there were no sharp fret ends or fret buzz .

Since making that comment I had to experience going to a music store and playing a $1,500 strat that hadn't even larger neck and was completely unplayable to me. So many people like these larger necks.

I'm very interested in this mustang. On a $200 guitar, I'm most wondering about the neck, mostly.
I mean how does it "feel", lol, for lack of a better word.🤷
I really like it, its a slim C shape, not to thin or thick, if you have very big hands it might be a little small feeling, but to me it fits me perfect, other then the back being slightly rough (which might of just been this one who knows, and it was'n't that bad) i'd say its a perfect playing/feeling neck. And the string height/action out of the box was almost perfect for me, just had to adjust the neck (truss rod) slightly and fine tune the intonation and it plays perfect with the strings that came on it. Highly recommend it, if you've ever played a newer mini strat, it "feels" similar but not quite as short scale. Hope this helps some! Thanks for Watching!!!

Would a good mod be to put a push pull pot in so as to be able to get the out of phase sound?
Hi dude. I really liked the video. I want to ask u, is the mustang suitable for a tall person with big hands?? I really like the Mustang (and Jaguar) and ive been thinking about buying the sunburst model, but ive never had a 24" scale guitar before, and i have no idea if that might be a problem. For example, Thurston Moore is crazy tall and he played with a Jaguar and a Mustang at some point, but im still not sure. Id like to know your opinion before buying it. Thank you🙂

What happened to the body contours..
I guess they felt it wasn't necessary since its a much thinner body. And some mustangs didn't have them anyways as far as i know. Thanks for Watching!!!

They went with a no-contour thin body to save money. The bullet was a much better body.
