We are in Year 3 at Thirlmere PS and just watched Grace & Lachie perform. We really enjoyed the performance. We have a few questions for you:
1. How do you remember which notes or beats to play? What about when you’re blindfolded?
2. What is your favourite song to play?

4. How much practice do you do?
5. Where did you learn to play?
6. What inspired you to start playing music?

Hello! Thanks for your questions, here are some answers :D
1. We did a lot of practise to learn how to play the show, and our friends Josh and Cat spent a year writing the show which they then taught us how to play. For the blindfolds, we first learnt it slowly with our eyes open and once we knew it really well then we were able to play it blindfolded. But sometimes we still get hit in the hands if we go the wrong way! So we have to concentrate when we get to that part of the show!
2. It's hard to choose, but probably Harry Potter or Frozen because everyone laughs and smiles when we do.
3. We really like playing the bottles, they sound so amazing for something so simple!
4. It depends on what we're doing that day, sometimes we have lots of shows so that is our practise for the day. When we were at university we would practise sometimes up to 6 hours a day!
5. We both learnt to play at primary school and high school and then university (which is where we met). We've had lots of great teachers over the years who have taught us how to play lots of different instruments. These days we also learn lots of things from CZcams!
6. We both started playing because it seemed like a fun thing to do, and it really is!
7. We've just started as part of the Kaboom team this year so we've been to about 20 schools, but our friends Cat and Josh (who started Kaboom and live in Perth) have been to around 1000 schools!
8. Kaboom is a sound word (like bang or crash) and Josh and Cat chose it because it sounds a bit like when you hit a drum and it also made them think of comic books.
9. We both started playing in primary school.
