Determine the horizontal and vertical components
of reaction at the supports. Neglect the thickness of the
beam.
You're the best!
very useful and clear
You help me more than you may know :)
Please do more of 3d rigid body equilibrium
Thank you very much
how did you come up with he 260? I can't seem to get that answer.
Yeah same goes to me. I dont know where he got 260 😅
600+400(5) = 2600 , then By = 2600 / 10 = 260
Please do the rest of the fundamental problems.
It should be 600lb x 15 ft, correct for the moment by the 600lb at point A
Im confused when the direction is positive or negative. please do provide explanation
Since the body has to be in equilibrium, forces have to oppose others. In this case, the applied force determined the direction of Ax and Ay.
Why is 500lb multiplied by 4/5? What is the explanation to that?
What if there’s no 500lb diagonal force just 600 lb going downward
Why does the x components doesn't create any moment
You have to neglect the thickness of the beam, which means the perpendicular distance from your x-component of your force to the center will be 0.
Since the support is hinged\pinned the moment about x is not restrained. Only x and y directions are restrained.
how to get 260?
كولشي مفهمت 😕😕
this quesion is wrong
