its clear that it was a potential investment for Paul, he hoped to sell it for more than he payed for after he rebuilded it. it was clear from the start.
the same is true for STGs Ferrari 360, its a car just sitting in storage and the hopes are that value goes up.

I don’t think many people buy these cars to drive anymore. Unfortunately they’re maintenance nightmares, and most people steer clear, unless collecting them for future resale.

I only watch these SOL videos intermittently and have only seen one with this car in where he was fetching it from a workshop.
There are a few people on CZcams who don't deserve the income they make from their channel and they're the ones who all copy each other's content. It's extremely boring. SOL, I mean "Supercars of London" is currently "Motorbikes in Burnley", I'm enjoying the bike content but ugh the channel is on its last legs

I’ve owned my manual 2003 Murcielago for over five years and driven it weekly and this car together my Aventador are looked after my Mr Lamborghini Legend - Mike Pullen of Carrera Sport. The important thing to ensure the car has all the things any car needs, good tyres, brakes and oil. The water hoses should be replaced when buying a car that isn’t serviced regularly and braided lines should be put in. Regular driving and using the right independent are important. Joining the Lamborghini Club Uk helps find the down to earth honest crowd. The e gear cars are more troublesome than the manual cars but again, getting the diagnosis correct from an experienced independent is the key. Take care.

Time to fess up on what it actually cost, take your down payment , 30 months of payments your $50k repaint and service, insurance, wraps, exhaust etc etc then take away the £120k Carl gave you for it and you probably end up with close to £100k for a car you didn't even drive for a year of ownership. Time to revisit the 'drifting' scenario that lasted one episode. Come on Paul, let's know the true cost.

The thing is; he NEVER once told his audience he would never sell it. He always said he would only sell it if he needed funds for a new house, business venture etc.
For confirmation, check out his video at DUB Customs late 2018 when the car was going grey. He stated exactly this.

Of course whilst keeping it longer, and if not using it, the mileage will remain the same and so selling it at a later date it will be good low mileage
It really hurts me to read all these hateful comments. Come on guys it’s 2020, we’re in a global pandemic. Do you think this is an easy time for a car CZcamsr whose content relies massively on being in touch face to face with people and on all sorts of events that provide opportunities to travel to places etc. All that stuff is impossible at the moment and so it’s hardly surprising the content isn’t as interesting anymore.

@@jasondunphy1170 Motorcycles aren’t cheap. As someone that is into super sport, scramblers, naked bikes etc they’re very costly. Add the kit that needs to go on top of. You could be look into very high numbers. I’m just guessing that he’s selling the LP640 and getting the money from that to invest his money into “the world of 2 wheels”. After all you never know, he could buy more than 1 bike?

Let's be honest here. You're selling the Murcielago because: 1 - you bought a lemon, 2 - it cost you a shitload of money to get it into shape, 3 - you can't afford to run it, and 4 - it's depreciating fast. You made an expensive mistake. Cut your losses, and move on.

My GT Roadster has had an engine replacement 2 years ago (was gone for 11 months) and needed a clutch and diff rebuild last year (was gone for 12 months), I've now owned it for round about 6 years, that's what I'd call a dream car or at least a car you love. I've seen this coming (you selling the car) from day one, somehow people confuse love with desire, they're not the same...

This car just needs the headlamps opening up and cleaning. This has been done by a few of my fellow Murcielago owners and improved the look of the car tremendously. The Fabspeed exhaust idea was from a close friend working for KTM who Paul Wallace phoned for advice but never acknowledged as the person who gave him the idea for the exhaust . The same exhaust is fitted on that friends yellow manual Murcielago. It’s great sounding system but it may fail emissions on MOT. Tom Hartley sold the Grigio Telesto Lp 640 to one of the guys in our Murcielago group who was the original owner and then bought the car back after he sold it to another owner. I can’t share the details of his experience as it’s up to him to feedback. I have never bought a car from Tom Hartley but I was with my Lamborghini mechanic Mike Pullen of Carrera Sport when he inspected the black Countach 25th Anniversary car that was for sale over Summer this year. I see a lot of falsehoods being spoken by CZcamsrs including car dealers about the Murcielago. I’ve owned my manual car for five years and driven it weekly and it’s a truly stunning car. I have seen the manual Murcielago cars appreciate in both the UK and USA as they are rare. However, I have seen the LP640 depreciate as more discerning collectors buy up the manuals. The best Manual Murcielago cars are trading off market and moving from one collection to another or out of the country. I hope this LP640 goes to a good home.

I'm afraid the realities of owning one of these cars is for most too bitter a pill. My car was a 05 Murci , I bought it with 27000 miles on it, had had 59k spent on it in in 10 years by previous owners , in two years I spent 22k in maintenance, I put 21000 miles on it in 2 years . Since selling the car the new owner has had bills of 26k 16k and 16k so you need to accept before you buy one, that there will be some gigantic cataclysmic bills. I think he thought he could spend 40k on it doing it up and make 20-30k profit back on selling it .In reality he's probably lost 20-30k on it. But boxed ticked .
Since it brokedown once,, thats already the start of future repairs, which will cost him more..
And he is also planning to buy a new motorbike.

I dont watch this channel much any more, stop subscribing a year or so ago as I simply got fed up with all the click bait content. I will say this though in his defence. He is not rich or from a rich family like the bearded bloke with the ferrari or STG who comes from nobility or Shmee, again another trust fund kid who likes to kid as they all do they made it all themselves which is totall BS as they all started ten rungs up the ladder!
This guy is pretty ordinary and from a pretty ordinary background so what he managed to achieve is actually noteworthy and due some respect. Likewise, just because you own the grail or dream thing does not mean you keep it for life. Priorities change, life changes and objectives change. At least he took a shot and did it, I wonder how many of the negative commentators here have taken the same kinds of risks or will ever attain their dream.
Paul can look back on this and take some pride in the fact he actually did it so well done him and though I am still not ready to subscribe again I will occasionally dip my toes back in and hey, he still has over 800,000 subscribers which is none too shabby for a working class guy trying to live his dreams and share them.

Don’t understand the hate. The car is obviously a lemon, and it doesn’t make sense for him to keep it. It’s constantly broken, and because of that, it isn’t making any money for him. And seeing as it’s his biggest asset, by far, it has to make money. Just look at all of other CZcamsrs how owned this car, and had issues. Jimbo from SG, DDE, and SOL. I love Murcielago’s, I really do. But let’s be real, unless you’re in a position, where you don’t need the car to make money, it doesn’t make sense to own. Paul needs this car to make money for him, and it obviously isn’t, so he needs to sell it, and put his money into a better investment.
Not to mention, how hard it must be for him to do what he really wants right now. It’s not like he can just go to Monaco whenever he pleases, that just isn’t possible right now. So he’s pretty limited on what he can do at the moment.
Dreams evolve, dreams change. Sometimes, you buy your dream car, and realize the spark isn’t there line you thought, and that’s okay. It’s Paul’s money, and it’s Paul’s car. Even though we’re part of the reason he’s here, it doesn’t mean we have a say on what he does with his money. A real fan will enjoy his content no matter the car he owns. He obviously loves Lamborghini. He’s owned 3, and will probably buy another after this. But, he needs to put it into something that’ll make him money.

It’s a shame he’s getting all this hate for selling his car that he can’t afford the upkeep of. “Cheap” to buy but drive it or not it’s gunna cost him £15k+ a year to keep it to a high standard, it’s a millionaires car and he’s not a millionaire. But at least he can say he had his dream car. More than a lot of people commenting have probably achieved.

I imagine he's £50k plus in the hole. The one thing people don't account for is opportunity cost of owning something like this when you're not super rich. If he had invested half of this in the stock market he would have made £50k so he'd be up £100k vs his today position
