Now the collectors the reapers, they aren't a threat to us. They're a threat to everything...everyone. Those are the lives were fighting for that's the scale. The collectors just blindside their targets though hit and run. As powerful as they are their cowards! They've never had to stand and and fight the best of us...that's you. I don't know if they can feel fear...but you better believe were damn sure gonna give them the opportunity so hit em hard! This has been a long journey for all of us, and nobody's coming out without scars but it all comes down to this moment. We win or loose it all in the next few minuets. Make me proud...make yourselves proud." Ladies and gentlemen I give you the best speech that never existed.
People only think the ending is bad cause they couldn't understand the revelations set in place by the artists. Look at artwork, like actual artwork. We don't understand why some people did what they did, why they draw what they draw, thier motivations or thier ideas, but we still praise them, because it was good. Every step of the way, every moment of thier work, led up to the final moment in the creation. Maybe it's not what they wanted, but every step leading to it was amazing. Give credit.
Yes this is an epic speech and I'm so happy to keep doing it over and over. I also like the one in the council room on the SR2 as well before you enter the base. ahah I can't wait to see what speeches we can do in ME 3. My first line will be. We do it for the Kieeedssssz!
The whole sequence from the moment shepard gets hit by the beam is inside shepards head... he is fighting the indoctrination from the reapers... anderson stands for the part of shepards consciouness that is still intact, illusive man stands for the part that is already corruptet... the "god child" is a trick to fool shepard into thinking he has any other option than destroying the reapers... that's why the destroy option is highlighted in renegade red even it is the only right thing...
it is highlighted red because the reapers trying to imply that destroying wouldn't be the right thing... you have three options that mirror the central plot points from the saga: synhtesis (saren - failed - indoctrinated), Control: (illusive man - failed - indoctrinated) and destroy (shepard's goal)... only if you do the destroy one, you see shepard wake up in london, where he has been the entire time since the beam... he never left...
this is why it is the best ending ever... bioware gave us the ultimate choice: overcome the indoctrination! WE are shepard and WE have been fooled by the reapers into thinking there is any other option than destroying the reapers... it is is the most ballsy decision in game design ever! the story will be continued when you choose the only right option (destroy) and wake up in london... this is why bioware aren't really reaction to the fans outcry... something big and epic is coming...
@tom1yum2goong I agree. The male Shep sounds more like a marine who is coldly stating the facts to his squad. Jennifer Hale does a great job, but sometimes she puts too much force behind her emotions when she talks
No way in hell. He sounds like he's telling someone to go to get him a carton of milk from the store. 2:20 He says the first part with a single monotone breath, he sounds like doesn't give a flying fuck about what happens. Femshep's voice fluctuates throughout her speeches and there are pauses for dramatic effect, there's more emotion in what she's saying.
@Leylaashley As I said I don't see him as "monotone" I see him as a real marine, straight forward and rough. He puts emotion when he needs to, sometimes it doesn't come across well but he's a real soldier. With Jennifer Hale to me it just sounds forced, sometimes.
@MrSuurijohtaja O.o Biotic heavy is biotic heavy... I like some biotics with some soldiering (like.. wrex/grunt or yourself) with some biotics, either way I usually end up crushing people. I don't keep people according to their skills, but according to what I like

I just felt more for her romance wise don't know why people hate her. She's a great character. But yes Liara is definitly a keeper as well, her attitude in ME2 was a little over the top but she is still very attractive.

Jacob's was okay but his lines sometimes were chessy. Not to say the male shepards were amazing either, the one with jack I mean come on dry humping? Really? They need to do some over all for the love interest characters I think.
Hm... I always play as a Male Shepherd, but this is interesting. Jennifer Hale seems better with the paragon speech, whereas Mark Meer has a better renegade speech. He just sounds more like the gritty, battle-hardened, take-no-prisoners commander than she does.
Male Shep's voice sounds a bit unrealistic, like the voices you would hear in a cartoon. Yet it's awesome. FemShep's voice is more natural but lacks the right kind of emotion. That's why I like Male Shep more.

There is no grandmaster plan. Mac Walters and Casey Hudson made this plot holes on purpose for us to speculate. Check "Final Hours" ME3 documentary. This 2 dumbasses though this was a good idea. Oh and they shut the doors to other 11 writers and 3 editors in their team. Those 2 jackasses let their ego to take over and MURDER Mass Effect franchise so that they can be artsy.

mass effect 3s ending was the worst pîece of writing ever developed. it totally makes playing the other games pointless and all of your decisions are rendered pointless

For me the best is to combine, first dialogue option Paragon, next one Renegade

I play majority Paragon but this speech has more meaning in renegade
Mass Effect 3 was a great game but it just didn't seem to have as many epic moments like this.

Glad to know there's more and more people who can see through Indoctrination theory glaring flaws and know that it was never a Bioware's intention.

FemShep either sounds try-hard or like she's whispering tough. She's only better in ME1 voice acting (sometimes.) After that, Meers is much better.
