Mercari has been so slow for me! BUT, I have neglected the promoted listings and offers to likers so I need to get back on that. With the new changes I stopped offering free shipping on almost all items. I used to have really good sales on there! Your right about the listing and relisting! On Monday I listed 19 items and sold 7 that day! Great job on the video!
Ahh yeah I no longer offer free shipping anywhere!!! People still buy regardless, in my experience hahaha. Dang girl yeah Sundays and Mondays seem to be the best days for me as well :) Thanks so much for watching

Iâve had inconsistent success since I started selling about 10-12 months ago. Fascinating to me (Iâm a geek, I know!) how some brands hold their resale value, & others instantly depreciate just like driving a brand new truck out of the dealership!

- Turn on push and/or email notification for when someone likes your item
(Also an option to turn on notification for when someone begins following you)
Iâve only resold on Mercari, & only from my iPhone, so not sure what the desktop notifications for seller options are.

Mercari is great Iâm 14.so I canât really get much of a job so I buy in bulk and sell on Mercari I make around $1600 a week. I definitely suggest Mercariâșïž

Iâve been thinking about dropping Mercari because sales are so inconsistent on there for me. I try and list more often than not, but I choose not to put everything on there bc of the higher shipping on items above a pound. Thank you for these suggestions - definitely going to try them! IVe actually never relisted on Mercari, so I should definitely do that!!

I agree IPromote my items in the evening during the work week and usually late morning early afternoon on weekends and Iâve been very successful with that I always price things high so that I can utilize the promotion button For multiple times each item

Thank you for the content. Do you experience toxic buyers? Returning item's, returning damaged or other problems that would make it hard for people to profit flipping game consoles?
I've never had any toxic buyers on Mercari! Their return policy really helps to keep those people at bay! If you do sell something that isn't as described and they provide pictures then they may approve a return, or the buyer/seller can agree to a return if something got messed up. I think you would do very well flipping anything regarding video games or consoles!

I price things so low to start with, with all the offers and promotes and smart pricing the prices get so low so fast! You wouldn't promote the same items every day, right? New to Mercari after doing Poshmark for years and it's just...weird lol! Love your desk, beautiful table. Just subscribed!
Hey girl! So sorry for just now getting back to you...took about a month off from work and YT so just now catching up with comments I haven't replied to đ I would suggest starting your items higher, allowing for about 20%-30% negotiation room and room to lower or send offers đ I definitely do not promote same day...if an item is getting some traction, I will send an offer out the next day and typically promote a day after the offer expires if no one accepts. I will promote items that have lots likes and/or views...sometimes the price might need to come down a hair or two to meet a filter that someone is looking for. Hahaha I hear ya girl, posh and mercari are very different. As long as you're doing something on mercari on a daily basis, the algorithm seems to be happy and pushes your items out more. Thank you!!! Pricing low and then lowering price from there drives down prices for everyone. If sellers held ground on price and didnât sell under value, we would all make more.

Thanks for the tip of not setting the Smart Price at the lowest right away. I've been a little frustrated that I can't figure out how it works. Some items it drops it super fast, others at a more reasonable drop. It has been driving me batty.
Youâre so welcome đ€ yeah itâs like a combo of how much attention itâs getting and it triggers mercari to lower with their updates (or at least thatâs how they explained it when it first came out) đ€·ââïž LOL Iâve just learned to be conservative with it. Iâll go in and put it on items after a week of not a whole lot of attention so it can do itâs thing over the next week and by the time I make my rounds the following week for promotions and offers then Iâll update again đ€ and now Iâm relisting everything after 60 days đââïž thanks so much for watching đ€đ„° hope you have a lovely rest of your day!
@@EssentialEndeavours That does seem to match what I am experiencing. I think I will try a similar approach. Most of the stuff I am selling right now are things from my own house. I tend to price kind of high at first because the listing is my first step of seeing how willing I am to let go of it. Unlike a reseller, I don't necessarily want it gone right away. Usually once it is listed, I am good and don't feel so attached. But some of those fast dropping prices did give me a little anxiety. HA! Does it help your algorithm for people to save your video? I am interested in how that works, if it is as valuable as a share, if it helps only when it is watched again, or if that even counts.
NOW, đ„Ž the reason I ask is because if it does help, there are certain videos where you have content that maybe a subscriber doesnât realize that the particular tips you are sharing will become very important when they get a little further on their journey as a reseller. I find it really helpful to save really good videos on shipping or EBay or other websites just in case I need that info again, I will quickly be able to find it. So if it helps your algorithm, maybe you could mention, âHey guys, whether you know it or not, you will want to save this to a playlist, because I am about to give you information you really need, or will really need once you get into reselling. â

YES! Sundayâs are some of the best days to re-list or list new items đ€đ at least based on my experience and many of my reseller friends and believe it or not Mondays are great too đ„° Sundays are good for Posh as well because thatâs a closet clear out day đ I think anytime in the evening any day of the week is great! So if you can schedule listings to go live then then I would definitely do that đ€â€ïž

I have a question on the Promoted Listings. Once you drop the price 5% for the promoted listing, that reduced price for that item is only for that one day, correct? Does Mercari allow a seller to promote that same item again the next day? or as much as you want?
Yes you can promote the item once every 24 hours :) you get 10 free promoted listings a day though. It reduces the price by 5% but you can go in later and increase if needed :)
How do you know how much to charge for the shipping? Do you have to have a printer to print the shipping label? Do you have to drop everything in person at post office or UPS/FEDEX? Or do you schedule a pick up withe shipping company? Thank you so much for this video!
I used to weigh every item in the beginning but now I typically know what stuff weighs so I guesstimate đ€ but if youâre starting off I would get a scale! Make sure to weigh it in its final packaging (I always use polymailers for the most part so they weigh less than an ounce so I can just add that to the weight of the item) đ€ I use a dymo printer! One of my popular videos goes over a dymo vs printer so you can decide if a thermal printer is a good option for you đ€·ââïž

My local Walgreens is a drop point for FedEx and my local CVS is a drop point for UPS. You just have to print the labels. My favorite shipper is my local USPS for a pound or less. I take it to the counter and have them scan the QR code and they print the label. You can also schedule a pickup but I am close to my P.O. and they are GREAT! Buy a $20.00 scale and weigh the package complete with the item for listing. If you are charging $12.00 for less than a pound item the buyer may move to the next seller who has the right freight charge. The most important part of the sale is packing and shipping the item(s) in a timely manner. Pack a $10.00 sale like you would a $100.00 sale. In sales training several years ago, I was taught to always promise less and deliver more! This is a GREAT channel! Glad I found it tonight!

Go into each item and you can promote! There no bulk promote on Mercari yet unfortunately đ itâll stop you from promoting once you reach 10

So sorry I am just now seeing your comment it went to my spam for some reason đ I get on average about a sale a day on each platform right now as a part timer. I only dedicate about 20 hours a week to my reselling business. Yeah I don't know why I don't get all the notifications either, it's very strange. I always manually deactivate my listings on the other platforms when they sell. Vendoo does have a quick delist feature though so it's all in one place đ I also cross post everything! I feel like it's working well for me right now

According to Mercari's T&C, you're only allowed to relist items once every two weeks. I thought that was important to share.

I just wonder: is ther any Mercari terms/deadlines for item delivery after payment is recieved likely 3-5 or 10 days?
-How much time do seller has to upload tracking number after payment recieved, 1, 2 or 3 days etc.?

I just sold a pretty expensive item on the app, but iâm nervous to send it out because of Mercariâs money policy, they donât give you the money until you ship the item out and the buyer enjoys the item. What if the buyer tricks the system and says the item isnât how itâs described? what would happen?
You have to send the item out and their system has tracking so youâll know when it arrives to the buyer. They get 3 days to rate you and you rate them and funds are released. If they never do then Mercari auto gives you 5 stars đ€ mercari rarely allows returns lol if you sold jeans and you said there was no stains and the whole back side has stains and the person shows pictures, then mercari will approve the return and they pay for it đ€ that has happened like 0.2% of the time for me on Mercari. They have a good policy! Best of luck đ€

Does posting your listing to begin with apply to the same approach as promoting from 6-10pm? Cause Iâm usually making listings those times and some time through the night. My click through rate is 60% but get nothing but likes and even when offering 50% off to 10 Likers nobody jumps on it.
Yes! I would say listing new items during those times is great! Are you immediately giving a 50% off offer? I would suggest keeping it as conservative as possible and slowly lowering with each possible offer sent (one can be sent every 3 days but you have to keep lowering it....that's a crappy thing with Mercari). If an item is getting a lot of views and CTR, try using one of your free promoted listings a day after that, maybe the initial price is too high...take advantage of promoting every day or every other day until the price is right for both you and potential buyers/likers :) Hope this helps in some way!!!
