Mercari is a fucking SCAM!! I purchased a phone from a lady for $155, and she never would ship it so I asked for a refund. After two weeks of still no refund, Mercari removed it from my transaction list, so I couldn't ask about it anymore. They will not respond to emails, they will not answer the phone. Don't believe what the reviews from the App Store, and Google Play say, go to trust pilot, they only have a 1-1/2 star rating. Almost every review is about how they protect thieves. You should make a video about how customers will mess you items and ask for refund thinking your gonna give them the item or how they will mess things up before sending back. I just went through a customer messing up a 14k necklace and the app refuses to help me. So now I have to fix the necklace if I want to sell it for what it's worth or lose money and sell for scrap. I loved the app till then. Either way I'm losing money.

I dont think Trust Pilot is a site for good reviews for any company. It is a site mainly for complaints only. Remember, people tend to write review on complaints. No really on positive experience. It is a way to express their anger. 99 percent of companies listed on trust pilot will have 1 or 2 stars

I miss when Mercari didnât have a selling fee lol but 10% isnât terrible.
I like that the fee is low too and that it comes out automatically unlike eBay they send you an email statement

This is a great way for money. Iâm 14 so I canât really get a job. So what I do is I buy stuff on sale in bulk and sell it in Mercari. Iâve made 2100$ this week I definitely suggest itđ!!

I just posted something this morning and after watching this video I included that the product is coming from a smoke free household. I'm selling leather kitten heels so that could be important. I also watched another video in this section where you talked about including a thank you card for the buyer. That seems like a lot more than what I want to do so I just purchased some thank you stickers that I will decorate the box i ship in with. Thanks again

Camryn Yates honestly you need to post at least 20 items a day. And keep updated your items. I use to be a hoarder so I have a lot of items to sell because I donât use them anymore. Hope this helps! Hard works pays off !

I just use Usps pickup. They pick it up at around 11:00 am where I live and Iâve made $300 with Mercari so far and itâs only been a week or two. I did have a bit of a problem with the shipping at first but since most of the items that I sell are small I could use Usps pickup. I struggle with fedex, but luckily Usps picks up fedex and other packages as well as long as you have one Usps package to ship along with it. Ups isnât a problem. I have several drop offs near my house.

Donât walk away from Mercari. RUN! You make very little money while the USPS and Mercari make a lot. You do all the work, and they make most of the money. Avoid at all cost. Youâve been warned.

Test O I honestly donât have enough experience with other websites to give an informed opinion. But Mercari was basically like this. Yes. You can make money. Just be prepared to haggle with people. Itâs good, but itâs also bad. If your unemployed and have the time, try it. But if you work full time like me, it will frustrate you to haggle more than sell.
Smokebeard the long whiskers I mean Iâve had bad experience with the ap my first time using it but mercari has a good return policy and insurance on your items. Iâve sold items and the post office messed up my delivery putting my label on someone elseâs package and even broke my tv I sent to a buyer. After that situation, mercari had refunded the buyers money back while I still managed to get payed because it was the post officeâs fault not mines. So I can say they definitely helped me. And if they made any profit off me, Iâve learned my lesson. If u post free shipping make sure u price the selling item for what u want in addition to cost of shipping because theyâll take that money automatically out of it and youâll think u lost money. Also beware of the small percentage fee they take out of your sold items because your using their site. I figured if I sell for more than what I wanted then Iâm not really losing out because I got what I wanted and they got their little fee

Facebook used to be a great way to sell, but there are so many ads people can't see all the local items quickly. Also, the people are more annoying on facebook than other site (lowballing, not showing up, etc).

This is my 1st time hearing about Mercari... Sounds like a great app thanks for sharing.
It's not! I thought so to at first. They constantly pull down items, send you warnings over messages someone will send to you. When you have a good bit of money built up to cash out, they will shut you down and advise you any money due you they are keeping. No PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ANSWERS. E MAILS GET A STANDARD FORM ANSWRR, WHETHER IT PERTAINS TO YOU OR NOT. STAY AWAY

I was looking at other apps to resell stuff and honestly Iâve watched bad review videos on Mercari. But your video has given me a better inside to the app and how it works so Iâm definitely going to try selling on there because I donât really like the way other apps/websites run sometimes in general. And Iâm really happy and satisfied with how informative your video is and I did check the date to see how recent this was. Really surprised itâs pretty recent so thatâs even more reason why I trust your review. Because I canât let the negativity someone else has gone through determine if i should try the app or not. Question... when you select ânoâ for the free shipping and put your own shipping price do you get that shipping money too from the buyer on top of the clothing price or does it go somewhere else ?
When you select no, as soon as s the buyer buys the item, the package isnât payed for and the app gives you a prepaid shipping label. That way you ship it without paying ups/uspcs/fedex

Nope, but if you notice you're getting alot of likes on one item you can click the "PROMOTE" button which lets you send a price offer just for that group of people.

Mercaris fee is still better then Poshmark what i dont like is the direct deposit schedule.
