This was incredibly helpful, thank you! For the life of me I can't seem to figure out the proportions when drawing freehand, I tried with the measuring but always feel like I'm wasting sooo much time that by the end of it it would've been faster to just draw my little grids hahaha but I'm trying to improve! Thank you for all your videos!
Yeah it's the reason I switched to grids "full time". People say it takes time to draw the grids but I say it takes triple the time to measure and get the outlines. Outlines that might not be accurate at the end of the day.
But freehand does have it's place. I use it when I want to relax and have fun with the drawing. Times when I don't care about the likeness.
Use whatever is essential and discard what isn't! Personally I don't have the patience for grids,but for those who do You definitely should ! I got this Ideology/ philosophy from (Bruce Lee) who by the way could draw very well! Amazing How you could apply this concept in so many aspects of life!

Also may you please make a video on how to balance both sides while drawing different parts like the eyes, ears, lips.
I really loose confidence when it comes to balancing
Tip, it might be easier to draw a circle, square, etc and use it as a boundary. Or, maybe draw a two circles and use it as the pupil and draw the eye shape around it. And it also can help if you draw both at the same time, doing each bit by bit so that it will be even and balanced and look similar. Hope this helps!

What we serch to find photo we drow
I have never drawn a face with grid method only free hand and mine are kinda bad but I’m getting better
Sure, keep doing what suits you 🤜. I stuck with freehand for 3 years before deciding to take the easier route with grid
