    Ox acid would be better to brighten…just apply, let sit for 5 minutes or so then rinse like crazy. That will neutralize the SH in and on the wood. The SM you used needs to be rinsed thoroughly, you don’t want that to be left on or dried….just a heads up. Love your channel!

    I wish more veteran guys talked about the the ugly side of the business. The uncertainty and ebb and flow of the business. Don't get me started on my, "When good jobs go bad" rant.
    I think the first few years of business you have to give up on the concept of work/life balance because until you are established and a recognized name it's a grind and you have to out hustle the competition, after-all 12 hours is just a "Half Day". 😁

    How to get 5 houses in a day….work in a rural area like Joe and Mike with low competition. I never saw another pressure washing guy either now there are 8 within 5 miles. Today I have three opportunities, but what I will tell you is no there’s not enough out there for all of us and I encourage everyone to discourage those trying to enter into the industry. It is indeed a flooded market.

      @@softwashscience Cincinnati is not exactly what one might call “rural”. We now have 133 washers in our local network. That’s only a fraction. I’m sorry you are struggling. Was there anything in the video you disagreed with?

    • @softwashscience
      @softwashscience Před 27 dny

      @@TheFreshRinseI guess I thought you were in More of a rural area And what I would say is the most important thing is just to be in an area that there is enough work per capita for the companies that are there. I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with anything you said no I used to roll up flyers and put them behind the flag mailboxes just like you did. I would have my cousins or family ride in the car at night with me and we would put flyers on thousands of mailboxes. I just think one thing I would add is that you can’t teach that it would be really rare to teach that to someone it’s either in you or it’s not. I’m personally not struggling I have almost 10k on the books for Monday Tuesday Wednesday this week and Thursday Friday easier days but I’m sure I will fill them in quick. This season has been my best I have already broke my season high and I haven’t spent a dime on advertising and that’s the first time I’ve ever not spent money on advertising since 2012. I know many people are struggling And at some point, the amount of companies in your area really does affect that.

    I have a question, and I apologize as it is not in regards to the main point of this video. When it comes to decks, like the one in your video, is that work and the chemical you used included as part of the house wash, or was some of that work additional? The reason I ask is that I am struggling with washing decks right now and including them as part of the house wash. As you all know some are a breeze and some I come up to are solid black and when they do not come clean as new by just using sh along with the house wash some people are getting mad. I always try to set expectations when I get to a house, but I am curious what everyone else is doing as a deck alone, if in rough shape, could tie up 30 minutes to an hour of time if in bad shape.

      I think it's because the concentration of SH you spray on the roof is below 5%. Some roofs should have the lichens and moss cleaned off first, and then spray SH for better results.

    Turn that m5 wide. quit red tip zig zaging all over the place. Act like its a paint gun start at the bottom as wide as you can go and keep going up your all over the place, high, low, left, right, deck behind you, back to the house. Just go full wide deck, house, next side lol
