    I'm gonna be marshalling the C1 challenge at Silverstone tomorrow. Excited to see how so many of these little Citroens cope on track!

    I own an Aygo (same generation as this one) the gear ratios are very long but the engine is rev happy so it really starts to pull in second once you get above 40mph, also doesn't have a rev counter, therefore, no red line... right?

    • @tdevosodense

      There is a bolt on rpm counter. Basically every c1 or 107 I have seen has one. You must have not chosen it when you bough the car? But yeah, the car has max power arround 3600 rpm and when i drive it it really starts to pull arround 3200

      Fitting an eBay rev counter to my C1 would double the worth of the car. 😂

    I believe the extensions to control arm and steering rod are not made to increase camber, but to correct the roll center after the 30mm ride height drop. The car would actually roll more than stock if that was not corrected. Most people ignore that and build lowered cars with less grip than stock suspension.

    Just watched this, loved it btw, and knowing about motorsport through competing currently, included in the season might be nice to add about getting a race license and getting all the available kit helmet and suit because this is sometimes an overlooked point when it comes to cheap racing.

    I try to make my C1 as light as possible, it was interesting to hear that they deliberately add more weight. do you know where? can you remove this? I weighted my C1, its around 800kg

    • @JBCTR
      @JBCTR  Před 5 lety +3

      The ballast is added low down in the passenger footwell. Approximately where the seat would be. Of course, the weight can be removed and changed dependant on the driver, but to compete in the C1 Racing events, the ballast weight must be correct.

    Great video, and thanks for making it. One comment: I would appreciate if you could speak more clearly. You speak UP and (down) every other word and I understand it's part of your accent but it's very difficult to understand what you say when you're talking under your breath. For an example, you pointed to a box on the dashboard saying it's a standard ____, used to find out if the driver is using a standard loom. I don't know what you said there. Maybe a different mic technique could help, but definitely enunciating more could be of benefit.
