I read this based on your recommendation and really enjoyed it! I'm always happily surprised when it gets to the end and I haven't figured out the 'whodunnit'. 😄

Just finished this and came straight for a book review! Found yours! What a humorous, fuzzy, warm book! SPOILERS I was thinking this constant visits to Penny must be for some reason!

It's a great premise (if you overlook how indulgent the detectives are towards the 'amateurs') and a pretty good read.
But my own review concludes that the mystery element does not stand up to much scrutiny. Even if we had been given more information and more prominent clues around the Murder #1 scenario, the rationale of the person we eventually learn is the perpetrator still makes very little sense, in my opinion.
That’s a fair point, I think I got so wrapped up in the enjoyment of the characters that I was indulgent with the plot.
