AA, that intro was from the heart. You're running into the same stuff you were dealing with in your video "Authenticity and Faustian Man" (one of your best IMO). You need to take up a hobby that forces you to be in the moment and physical such as boxing or Juijitsu. It will teach you to be present as there is no other option. Because you are such a cerebral person you likely need this to balance yourself out.
I know we are just faceless avatars, but we love what you produce and most of the faceless horrors have an affection for you in a parasocial way.
You do amazing work, please don't break yourself.
Take care.
Oh for sure AA. I often think I'm living in a simulation and/or purgatory. I'm serious.
I can relate to that.
Touch Grass? - Today I went to lunch with my work colleagues. Something I haven't done in years (tend to exercise and eat at my desk instead). I was talking to one of the guys when I looked up only to see everyone else scrolling on their phones around the table. People are less and less even putting in the effort
Zombies, each and every one of them.
I relate to a lot of what was said at the start of the stream. 😂😂
Can you not drive?
Lol I'm of English /Scottish descent and I live in the southern US. Summer and fall are my favorites. 100+* F doesn't really bother me.....
Dear Lord, I pray AA survives all bothersome conditions in the lodge and may remain fruitful evermore so.

The first 9 minutes are poignant and relatable, but the jarring shift from autist AA to emo AA is slightly freaking me out
I reckon I can get onboard with more emo aa 😂
This is the dance of opposites - it's "A song of Emo and Autism".
Agree, the first 9mins were very insightful @@_Dovar_
You obviously have never seen a sly sneak vid before.
Great monologue AA. Heartfelt and relatable. Thanks for sharing
"Their actions as opposed to their stated purpose." There's a line worth remembering.
The revealed preference never lies. (╭ರ_•)
There are only two solutions to middle class liberalism and decadence: rapid economic decline, or the imposition of spartan order through widespread military service.
Mid century Germany had both.
Service in this military, though? You'll just end up with more bureaucrats and an even more poorly functioning military.
@@brofist1959
Before you can build new, the old must be razed.
@@brofist1959 yeah I was talking more in general and hypothetical teems, obviously the current military is horrendously compromised
Mid century Germany didn't have millions of third world interlopers living inside it's borders.
Present moment awareness has been debunked. A Buddhist monk can sit there and watch a lion come along and chew off his leg because he is so present he doesn't feel it, he just sits and watches it happen as a witness. If he had a future goal he would get up and stop it from happening. You must think of the future for goal setting etc, you must think of the past for learning from mistakes, debts, family connections etc and you must think of the present to avoid lions chewing on your leg. So all three are necessary at different times.
Regarding your opening statement - you are not the only one
The first video that I listened to of yours was you going for a hike and not feeling present (via Morgoth). I do not feel that way wholly but I do understand it.
When you get into your 40s you lose touch with your old friends and the fast changing pace of your life when you are younger.
100% this intro. I'm currently listening to this in my off grid cottage on the moor the rain is heavy and the river swollen, fire going. I can't stand the summer, especially british summers.
AA on a real one at the beginning.
Unironically, I recommend trying your hand at meditation. It helps train your mind to focus on the present, become more aware of your body and your position in relation to others, etc. I often fall into the “I’m not a real person” mindset as well. Helps a lot!
"Thank you for curing me of libertarianism" 😄
Nice start to Existential Crisis Month.
AA, just as a heads up, apparently you've had a Wikipedia entry since July 16th. You've popped up on somebody's RADAR for some reason.
"If I'm not feeling it I can't force it."
Im feeling the same way today.
Im thankful I'm fabricating and welding.
Interesting introduction I feel the same way quite a lot. I get out often enough but I feel like I would rather be at home consuming content or reading but then too much of that and I need to get out. Most people around me don't seem to care about things going on beyond a very superficial understanding, I wish I was like that sometimes.
I'm absolutely with you on the past 3 weeks being in a state of total apathy. A casual astrological glance will reveal a series of lunar eclipses, which the ancients say in this conjunction are opportune times to lay rather low and allow for a deeper consolidation of one's energies. Smoke a pipe (or cigar), put your feet up, grab a cozy knit sweater and your favourite tie or cravat and watch the smoke dance the Dance of the Seven Veils as you luxuriate in your imagination. Couldn't be bothered to jump into the fray so soon---too much seriousness in the world. Even our sensuality has become so serious. Utterly exhausting.
I've heard about full moon causing a real increase in crime and about the seasonal mood disorder, but was always curious about astrology, if it has something more to it.
@@_Dovar_ It's a long road of study. But technical matters aside, it requires you to be deeply aware of your inner state and physical state. As is said, the Right tool in the hands of the Wrong man results in no success.
Take a break from the kabbalah, bro. A forever break.
I always find the little snippets you give about everyday life in Iran very interesting, particularly your dad's experiences as a young man. Any chance you could do a stream on this or, better still, get your dad on?
Ordained Buddhist. Yoga, meditation and chi gung teacher. Still very much relate to the opening monologue. Perpetually lost in news cycles and doom scrolling. But there is a way out
I used to stuggle quite a bit with being in the moment. I started boxing and it's helped more than I ever thought it might.
The middle classes were the engine of fascism and reaction in the Interwar period. Then again, fascism wasn't exactly a conservative ideology.
You have to enjoy the little things of life, AA, and not be concerned with world politics all the time. People on their deathbed don't say "I wish I spent more time analyzing the Israeli-Palestine conflict".
Basically that was what “Covid” and 2020 as a whole did to me as well. My mind has always been as you describe; never really in the moment, always thinking about something far distant or past, but during 2020 and now after I have realized one thing that was confirmed that year, but was always just a suspicion before: we are in Hell friends, we are in Hell. Humanity has shown its apathetic, banal, and hypocritical side on a scale that I believe is unrecoverable for the thinking man. So yes, I kind of do as well enjoy the silent solitude more than is probably healthy….. but I enjoy that more than I enjoy the alternative, which is society…… and Hell.
A zombie hell. It's akin to a zombie movie, where a few seem to be immune and have to endure.
This mind virus, spread through screens much like the method in the 1981 film Halloween, has turned the masses into ideological zombies.
The tragedy of course is that once infected, they cannot be rehabilitated. They do not know they're infected, you cannot reach them because they're zombies. And they seek to infect others with their rabid fanaticism. And, like a zombie, they're after your brain.
We are in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. Yet, as per the traditional script, after the dark night of the soul hope for the cure comes from within those rare few that seem immune to it....
Painfully relatable...
I hope that I never feel that particular mix of rage and frustration ever again.
Three comments listed, only two shown.
Gotta love that suppression.....

Summer is best because that's peach season.
"It'd be a benefit...not to live on this Earth anymore."
I heard Joy Division's Atmosphere start in the background. I swear.
I feel very much the same as what you describe in the intro, I've spent the last almost 4 years watching in horror as events unfolded and swallowed us up. I can't help but follow everything that is going on especially the economic disaster unfolding and feel that if I stop watching even for a moment I could be caught out and ruined especially as I work in an industry highly sensitive to how the global economy is doing. The Ukraine conflict bothered me but I was sure it wouldn't get out of control but this Israel thing has really unnerved me. I feel like I'm watching the slow collapse of the West and our countries and things seem to be accelerating without pause. I spend almost all of my time in deep thought war gaming various situations in my head to see what possible rout out there is for our countries, I'm generally a positive person that up to now always though things would work out in the end but recently I've lost hope and started to believe that things will just keep getting worse for ever.
One could probably try the other way around, 4 or 8 Chinese and 1 or 2 hypersocial European students in one group
Someone in the chat: "Wearing trousers is oppressive?"
It's not about the particular restriction but the uncompromising social force which holds it in place

what an insight about AA's sporting career. I want to know if he was a loosehead or tighthead prop. also didn't take maldini's advice on tackling is admitting you've made a mistake
No Cohibas on your cigar list? I know they're pricey but the Cohiba Siglo I is fantastic. I have a few of the others you mention, but only singles, mainly the HDM. Im probably going to pick up some QD 50 as a 10 box of those doesnt break the bank.
Fun stream. Thanks for answering my questions.
Struggle with exactly the same feelings.
Make the most of AAA’s youth, AA. My youngest is 21 and I miss those years. I’m looking forward to being a grandparent but doubting it’ll ever happen. The son is too Mgtow. The older daughter was destroyed by a relationship with a crazy demented abusive narcissistic psychopath and trusts no-one so they’ll unlikely ever have kids. The younger might but she’s still a leftie they can’t stand their brother. Wish I knew 30 years ago what I know now, I was to busy running lives to give thought to instilling values. My values were libtard anyway. At least 2 went to catholic school.
What was that article aggregation service? Praxeology? Can’t find it on google
Dearest AA,
I'm going to make an unusual - to some - suggestion. You need to embrace a physical regimen. This is not unknown on the DR and there are reason for it, I wont detail them here. Many do it better than I could. But I see in you a facet of myself that has benefitted from the same. As a materialist (to some degree) you may appreciate that the mind resides within the brain, and that within the body, and the world itself, and so on. If you dont think it matters, in all fairness, you should try it as an adult, and compare to how you feel now and where your head is at. There is a reason the DR often emphasizes it. I wont digress, but it is effective and that fully integrated mind-body state is the ideal norm for men.
This is not about ones weight, appearance or any external, reflected considerations.
This is about the full activation of the mind WITHIN the body.
I love your content and encourage you to parse, and think and enlighten. But I also think you'd benefit from the real physical actualization of your ideas of discernment, truth and right action.
Best wishes.
Shit, man, there's even occasions when I've been in the act of sex and wishing to myself that I was at home, reading my book.
