I Bought Exotic Birds from the Pet Market and Let Them Go! 🇵🇰

- The first question I’m going to get is, Are the birds wild or farm raised?
These are wild birds that are native to the Karachi, Pakistan area.
The seller told me that they were caught these birds using bait and a big net.
The wild falcon and barn owls have been held in caged for months, and needed their freedom back.
It gave me great pleasure in helping them get that freedom.
Watch today’s video as I release 3 Falcons and 2 Barn Owls back into the wild.
I have more Pakistan Vlogs coming all week!

Chris
That was such a great gesture to release the birds, I appreciate your effort but while you set these birds free, you need to keep in mind the habitat is suitable for them or not, the eagles that you let fly might not know how to hunt, eating would be such an issue, Golden Eagle / Falcon don't get along with local eagles for hunt or food, the owl cannot see in day light, the shop keeper would never tell you this because it is their business. Hope the birds are safe.
I understand that your comments were with kind thoughts but you are talking to an above average intellegent man that completed all the research before letting these birds go.
This Falcon is local to the area and was caught a few weeks prior only 3 kms away from where I let it go. These are not farm raised birds, they are wild and caught with nets with bait. Therefore, this hawk hasn't forgotten how to hunt.
Despite what you were taught in school, owls can see in the day although they see better at night. I live in a wooded area in Canada and I often see owls flying during the day from tree to tree. They hunt at night.
I don't like what the shop owner is doing - caging and selling wild birds, but he was very knowledgeable, polite and shared all the answers to all the questions I had about these birds. To keep it short and simple, he said he loves birds, and he needs to survive. That is why he is in this business.
Hope that answers all your questions. Next time you might want to ask questions before assuming the worst.
All the best!
@@ChrisMustList At first I might not have been able to enlighten you with proper description and I don't doubt on your intelligence at all, I apologize if you felt that way but I completely didn't meant to.
At first, I would like to inform you, there is no place in the radius of about 15kms surrounding Karachi where these healthy birds are captivated, a little brief on my myself belonging to farmer & a hunting family, these birds were farm grown, not wild and I completely don't doubt on your intention and such a good deed.
Secondly in this whole Market that you roamed, they will never keep wild birds except pigeon & some more which are captivated from free environment, these wild birds are supplied by local breeders and are not trained to hunt for food.
As you also noticed that crows started following the owls next second they flew is what I just wanted to say, they are not trained for wild.
And last thing, owls has their territory marked and can jump from tree to tree easily but surviving with those crows and eagles next, I wish they are safe.
@@jattw0rld I wasn't insulted at all by your comments, I just wanted to tell you what I was told. He told me the same night that he sold the birds to me, they will be back outside catching more. Either way, I appreciate your knowledge and thanks for watching! I hope the birds do well.
@@ChrisMustList I completely understand as it is the fault of shop keeper but the person with you should have been smart enough to understand how local market works, In Karachi we have people like @jimmy junaid and some others who even do rescue works and give animals better environment in cages as well. And they will be out catching more, actually they will be going after those eagles again actually because they know they will not fly farther as they're not from free environment. These shopkeepers are a next scam level to ones who doesn't have their business knowledge but once again, I envy your deed to let them have a chance to live free of captivity.
Nah don't worry they will find plenty to eat atleast.it's Karachi 😉
No other words to describe Chris - A Man with a Golden Heart - God Bless!!
I appreciate that Syed. Thank you for your kind words.
What great heart....everyone should have tht...& PAKISTAN doesn't hve tht...in PAKISTAN human rights r not mentioned that what can we expect for animals there...in India if u a feather of barn owl is found at ur home u will be jailed for 3yrs...if u kill 12yrs imprisonment...but today I was broke seeing barn owls for sale🤕...a bird which is vulnerable and needs to be saved ....It's up to u ...u need to protect these...not a outsider who has to visit and spend to save life...
Its disgusting to see these people come to poor countries and haggle over small prices with hardworking people, they cant pay 10% of the price they would in their countries, pathetic! Talking about birds its just 1% of the price in their countries, can you imagine this tard haggled for a falcon which he aske just 40$, disgusting people.
Your translator is very honest he was translating verbatim. He also was trying to get you a deal very honest person.
As a citizen of Karachi I'm extremely thankful for your kind act of setting the owls free.
Why don’t you guys take a part set em free some.
Sometimes back I released some Australian budgies in my garden. I was shocked to see how the crows followed them to kill. Actually I think the birds should be set free in an environment where they can adjust, where they are not vulnerable. We must educate rural people to protect natural habitat. Secondly, we should refrain from buying the birds and animals who belong to the wild.
@@woodwoody1730 some of us aren't blessed enough to buy and release these birds back into the skies and besides these guys are going to capture and bring some more and if we start ti protest against them then of course it starts to get dirty and dangerous for the individual our government doesn't care enough to do anything every one just wants to fill their own pockets the people of Pakistan majority of them have a good heart but the people in power are corrupted what can we do
@@SyedAli-zn9ty i think government should regulate these markets.
@@woodwoody1730
They catch them again if those birds flow to their area.
I truly wanna commend you for this kind gesture. Those birds really deserved to be set free, well not only the birds but all those animals in that market regardless of them being either native or wild, all must have the right to go around without being enclosed into a small space. Chris you've done a great job, people aren't thoughtful enough, thank you
Thank you Teebee!
You deserve a lot of appreciation. Also you did it in someone else's country which is even more appreciable. Thanks for saving our birds.
I appreciate that!
Good to see Falcon back in the air. It was much needed otherwise, these Wild animals would not live for so long in that cage.
I agree with you 100%
Good gesture and all BUT birds that have been in captivity for a lengthy period of time, even those under the best of care, is that they may have been exposed to diseases which may not be found in wild bird populations. Releasing a bird with a possible undiagnosed disease may further endanger wild populations.
I love being pakistani
But seeing these poor animals in these cages and seeking for help really breaks me into thousand of pieces
Im sooo sooo sooo happy that you did this amazing job
I just want to do the same thingggg
May Allah help me
Ameen♥️
boo hoo its these peoples livelihood you realize that right?
also stop anthropomorphizing animals
@@Saber23 yeah, anime boy. It's a livelihood to capture wild animals, AKA poaching. No wonder countless species are being pushed to near extinction.
And no one's anthropomorphizing anything; animals have feelings and can sometimes seek for help.
Ever heard of zoos??
@@justsain3236 yeah they’re pretty cool
I think you have some of the best vlogs of Pakistan in your channel, especially for the non-modern side. Surprised you don't get at least 100K views per video minimum.
I'm working hard to try and create original content. I have 15 videos from Pakistan now and the number of views is growing day-by-day. I do appreciate your kind words and thanks for watching!
Man you did a great act of kindness,May God bless you with Islam aameen
All these poor animals should be free! Especially the ones that can fly and do their own thing. Good on your Chris for giving freedom to a few of them, especially the majestic Falcon. So sad for those poor animals.
It felt very good helping a few birds, but I know very well that they will be back out catching more wild birds the next day and the cycle will happen again.
@@ChrisMustList That's true. Like you had mentioned in the video, I too would have been tempted to free all the birds by opening all cages 🤣
I was so glad to see these beautiful birds set free ❤
The white parrot you saw in 4:30 is actually a cockatoo. they are found in Australia. and the colourful bird you saw after that was a pheasant
Love you man highly impressed, so kind and we will follow you...❤
Thank you very much! Greatly appreciated.
I have tears in my eyes through out the whole video. Poor babies. Thank you so much. I wish all could be set free or go to good homes but what are the odds of that. You are very special for doing what you did.
Someone who would want to do something like this but can’t, I highly appreciate this gesture. This warms my heart.
As an animal lover,i really do appreciate what you are doing.
God bless.
Thank you Mr Chris for releasing these beautiful birds who were meant to fly. May you also fly with joy of new experiences🦅🦉
Thank you!

I appreciate that.
I think you should have been kind to Harry Potter, that was all we asked for.
God bless you, Chris. You're a kind and good man. I live in Karachi but I never knew about this place. I'm definitely going to visit this place just to release some birds. And I'm gonna make this a habit to do so often. Your kind gesture was moving and may God bless your path anywhere you go.
Thank you!
gland to hear you will gonna release birds in their natural habitat....but please remember release tham where they get enough food like our of town.... love from gujarat india ❣
We were in our homes during Covid for a few months during 1st lockdown and remember how bad we felt. Some of these animals have to live that way forever. Thanks Chris!

Hey brother. Pakistan misses you.
Very sad to see this..i am from wildlife department kpk here we daily visit birds market....
If they were in kpk they will be in a jail Now..
Yes it is very difficult to see.
You just helped me restore some more faith in humanity and cheered me up a bit when you did this, am currently in a bad spot in life now.
I am commenting so I hope the algorithm picks up on this video and this video gets shown to more people.
Very sad in third world countries, not only humans but also animals suffer

Lovely to see you doing great initiative doing freedom for birds ❤️👌
You know what, may God bless you for this act of kindness. I can’t stand to see animals like this.
Very sad to see that a country that is meant to be “Muslim” doesn’t have more sensitivity of the heart.
Bravo. What a noble thing to do. What a beautiful way to free those innocent animals. Keeping animals and birds away from their freedom such as in cages is simply sickening.
Thank You So much for Freeing them
God Bless you!
Thank You Brother from Karachi❤
YOU ARE SO KIND MAN
What you’ve did is fantastic. Thank you 🙏🏻 and my wishes to you
I love you Chris. From an overseas Pakistani.

Your a very kind hearted man. May Allah swt bless you
Chris God bless you more and your family. I enjoy CHRIS MUST LIST. 🇿🇦
Freeing birds demonstrates kind heartedness ...it pleases Allah as well. I really feel pity for this kind of business. Just feel the sentiments of a caged man and apply on these flying birds. Setting them free gives true satisfaction no doubt.
So Kind of you.... ❤
This man has done it again .. information and giving back in it's most purest and foreign form

well done brother good job. freedom for all.
Very good gesture
Thank you Chris for buying and releasing the birds back in the wild, the government and people of Pakistan need educatiing on illegal trade of capture and selling these beautiful birds as a trade
That you Chris for buying and releasing those birds. I can see they were being abused. I have a Yellow Nape Amazon which I rescued who is now 29 years old. God only knows how I wish I could release it back in the wild but has no out door survival skills. And not only the birds. The poor dogs and cats just broke my heart. Thank you for caring!!!❤
Another great video so sad to see the animals in such conditions take care much love from the UK 🇬🇧
But you eat animal meat... !!.. 🤷♂️.. even ritualistic culling is done... or its about ethical killing and ethical meat?
Great job man!
