Williamsburg #1

After the slight hiccup of KITT's repair, we picked up our itinerary only a day late in Williamsburg. On the way we pass through Richmond and visit the Virginia Museum of Culture and History. The Williamsburg area is rich in colonial history - we visited Jamestown, where the English established the first successful colony. The museum is exceptional, with an outdoor "living history" area with costumed guides explaining their professions and providing interesting context to the buildings - an Indian village, an English fort and a replica of the (small!) ship that bought the first colonists over.
