Amazing version of Take the Time from "The Rudess Experiment" bootleg featuring Jordan Rudess on keyboards five years before he actually joined the band.
Jordan stuck to original keyboard solo. It's first time that i saw him doing it. Kurzweil and Jordan are a perfect combination. He should play more with this keyboard.
@@dxfifa I mean that's what you think I guess, but history proves you wrong. Jordan Rudess had been there longer than KM and DS combined, and has written far better stuff. Scenes from a memory? Six Degrees? Octavarium? Calling any of that 'two dudes noodling' is plain wrong
@@maxhowlett9661 far better stuff my arse. DT haven't come close to their first 2 albums with labrie. They don't make bad music, just nowhere close. And rudess is not in moore's league for playing with petrucci and songwriting

I love the rasp James used in his vocals during this era
LOL Signed up to go to mars.
This was probably the best era of Dream Theater. From 1992-1994.
Before rudess joined for the studio recordings DT was better
All albums with Mike Portnoy were the best
I couldn’t agree more
@@dxfifa And when Jordan rejoined DT was even more better
Why can't Jordan play like this today?
Because he likes circus runs....
bc he gets bored doing the same thing over and over again (probably)
Just think if Labrie still sounded like that today, they we
5:31 Oh maan, how I love that Kurzweil lead sound
One of the best songs and year of the band!!!! Historic...:) :)
Holy fuck that unison! JP and JR were meant to play together!
except that Kevin Moore was a far better songwriter and had much better chemistry with Petrucci, their blending was insane, now it's two guys noodling

@@dxfifa and that's again your opinion ;) in music all is relative but for sure Portnoy was better than mangini, my opinion XD
@@ALEXISGNFR Rudess is a better technical player than Moore but not a better writer of parts and has less chemistry with the band.
No digital score to flip with your fingertips?! Oh lord, those were dark times...
It Starts at 3:57 :)
They would still be #1.
James was on fire
Rare footage! Great audio!
It seems that Jordan is playing Kurzweil K2000 here in this video. Very nice lead sound.
What an amazing clip!
The pitch control of that solo is sick
amazing clip!
when Jordan still stuck to original keyboard solos...don't you love it?
Yes, I do. But more than anything I loved that Kurz leads sound more than his Korg-era leads
What a GEM!
Aw...
typical hater
Look at that hair!
The audience is probably confused about where the huge gray shirt is
You can see, Petrucci is human

unfortunately...the chorus didn't quite work out...

+Udbhav Seth its the soundboard mix, hardly any audience audio
