Everyday everyday......
It really sucks since EDM became so mainstream. It really diluted some of the music that is now being produced. So many subgenres are now dead because they all tried to tap into the normie market.

No money in them. Its the gigs that bring in income
problem with todays people is that they dont want music to build up or put you in some mood first. they just want the music sound good as long as their attention span of a minute or so is satisfied.
I wouldn't say that all new music is done for the sake of making money, just a change of style, people are experimenting with a different sound. Nevertheless, I like the old tracks from 2003-2008 better too.

The driving production of Super 8 and Tab and the early Above and Beyond stands above everything else in dance music in my opinion! 💜 it’s got this incredible mix of nostalgia, sadness and hopefulness!

Timeless classic. Top of the drawer.
This took a long time to grow on me, but what an incredible piece of trance it still is. Uplifting, yet those minor keys really bring out a touch of sadness too, which is appropriate since 'suru' means 'grief'. Supertab nailed it.
One of the first trance tracks I ever heard back in 2007 when I started listening to trance, and one of the reasons why I started producing, timeless.

Having listened and analyzed this track here’s what i can say:
Part A 1:52 is introduced for a short period of time with a simple melody and minimal drums leading to an average emotional impact.
Breakdown comes with smooth and relaxing part 2:50. Pads instrumentation, a signature of Super 8 & Tab.
Buildup with beautiful arpeggios and stunning drop that leads to part B 4:10 with beautiful vocals added later.
Then comes my best part of this track at 5:20, the transition from part B to A again. The melody from part A that we are somewhat already familiar with is reintroduced with lush pads and full drums, leading to very strong emotional impact. The drums are in almost perfect sync with the other elements giving it astounding intensity and energy. 6:03 Pure trance bliss at this moment.
6:59 Part B comes back and the song finishes.
This track is an emotional roller coaster ranging from extremely energetic to smooth and relaxing parts with melodic complexities that seamlessly work together as a whole. Beautiful instrumentation with original sonic touches make it one of the best uplifting trance tracks ever made.
Great analysis. I've been decomposing the tune in my mind numerous times I've been listening to it. The only difference is that I didn't not put periods on the timeline. 🙂
The best part for me is at 2:50 when my heart just stops. Suru has been my favorite trance tune since 2010. That's interesting how Suru is different to any other tune Super8 & Tab have created so far.
Wonderful analysis! I agree that 6:03 is a uniquely smart and impactful payoff. Sometimes, the energetic interludes between climax 1 and climax 2 (or the parts B, as you say) can be the most magical and concentrated essence of trance music. Requires the track to HAVE a second climax, which has been rare for many years now, unfortunately.

Fun fact - the track title 'Suru' means grief in Finnish. Which is where Super8 & Tab are from (Finland) :)
And this is the way this song makes me feel, melancholy and perhaps sadness but nonetheless with an uplifting sentiment at the same time. Ah.... this old trance is perfection.

Altough im moving more into the deep progressive nowadays I remember this tune perfectly for it's heart and powerfulness. such a touching track back in the day. Still love this type of straightforward trance. A shame modern trance is just a cut and boom like five or six times in the same track
