Born and bred in London, Anjunabeats started life as a university project in the year 2000. Today, Anjunabeats is one of the world’s best-loved dance labels. Over 700 releases spanning two decades wear the iconic Anjuna ‘A’.
To celebrate, they’ve opened the vault for a handpicked group of artists from the label’s 20-year history. Each artist will sift through thousands of hours of music to create a definitive, mix of their all-time favourite Anjunabeats releases.
On 29 October, Super8 & Tab deliver the twelfth mix in the series.
“Finland’s Miika Eloranta (Super8) and Janne Mansnerus (DJ Tab) have been part of our family for decades. When we first met them, they were both accomplished club DJs and music producers in their own right. They were also friends of Paavo, our very own Finnish wunderkind. In the early days, Miika was recording with Paavo as Aalto. Janne had his own single on Anjunabeats, "Verso".
Miika and Janne began collaborating on music in 2005. The magic was instant. "First Aid", the debut Super8 + DJ Tab release, was operatic. It’s a style that they’ve continued to develop over their 15-year career. And what a career it has been. Their debut album, ‘Empire’, turns 10 this year, and the likes of "Black Is The New Yellow" and "Irufushi" have stood the test of the time.
Super8 & Tab’s 20 Years mix is heavily influenced by the first decade of our label.

Super8 & Tab's Anjunabeats remixes were by far one of the greatest tracks in Anjunas collection. Love this mix. Anjunabeats essence in 63 minutes!
Had the pleasure to interview them a couple of years ago at ASOT and they couldn't have been nicer. Combine that with absolutely breathtaking releases since 2003 and well, that's perfection in my eyes. 'Irufushi', 'Suru' and 'Elektra' are classics that have stood the test of time perfectly.
Me love Anjunabeats because of these guys....

Had been a huge fan of the trio since the early 00s and tried to go to as many a&b parties as i could here in europe but with tatw anjunabeats died too. so i totally feel you!

@@HikariSakai imho they have become hella lame and so as their new crowd. if you are interested in proper trance come visit Luminosity there you can re-live them moments from the past. hopefully next years lumo is not going to get cancelled..

One of the finest definitions of what Anjunabeats sound is all about. These guys can make this ethereal trance again we all used to love from them anytime, i dont dig their generic fast food electro trouse at all which they have been putting out this couple of years with the exception of the uplifting "Into", we live in dark times and we want a comeback of them with these heavenly/healing sounds, its about time Miika and Janne cmon :´(

When someone askes me what's Trance Music? I play them oceanlab - Satellite A&B remix and Luminary - Amsterdam Super8n Tab Remix. These tunes are Closest to a perfect trance tune. Beautiful vocals and Lyrics, uplifting beats,emotions, Love all in one.

When you select your top tracks for the last 20 years and ALL of them are 10+ years old... it speaks a lot of the trance music that decade. Sad story :))

Super8 & Tab are the most consistent artists on the Anjunabeats label. Every track they release is a classic. The only artist that you could argue is more consistent than them is Oliver Smith!

Sweet, sweet mix! Wish "Suru" and "Won't Sleep Tonight" could have made it in, but this captures a lot of S8&T's classics. "Alone Tonight" being shown some love is epic too!
